I posted a long review with a lot of photos but it didn't save and I don't have the juices left to do it again... Suffice to say this place has great food and great service. We will definitely be going back.
The food was excellent. It's a unique place in a relaxed environment, so sit back and enjoy the vibe!
The menu is wonderful and the food is incredible! I thoroughly enjoyed the vintage atmosphere, and the service was five star. The cauliflower bread is so good, you'll think you're eating buttery skillet toast! The roasted vegetable gluten-free sandwich was delicious. We shared a piece of their signature chocolate cake and it was so rich and amazing! I have to drive quite a ways to this restaurant, and it is worth the drive. I returned for a second visit even though we live an hour away. The brunch pancakes with blueberries were the best I've ever had.
This little restaurant is cute and quaint, but the food was the real treasure. I had their burger with specialty fries, their ginger tea and for a special treat the chef was introducing a margarita ice cream and offered a free scoop to us since it was new. And WOW! It was spectacular! The entree I had was not a small portion, in fact I was very full but ate it all to the last bite since it was so delicious. Prices are higher than an average restaurant, but that's because this restaurant is not average!
I have heard wonderful things about this place and a dear friend of my took me for my birthday and it was lovely. The revamped house with all the history and charm! Not to mention the unique menu items personally prepared by the chef/owner her self. From start to finish the friendly service and quaint atmosphere and delicious food I will be bringing my family back
There are two awesome restaurants in Wise County - GoGo Gumbo and Mask House. They are both amazing, but radically different. Mask House is definitely "upscale" and decorated with taste and charm, sorta nostalgically classy. The food is common elements (pork chops) reinvented, cooked differently, with a tasty creative flair - flavorful elegance. The chef/owner is charming, and actually wants to know how you liked the food. The waitress was perfect - never there when you didn't need her, magically appearing whenever you did - perfect.
Short version, check it out - you'll love the food even if the wine list is a bit uninspired.
The Mask House was a very pleasant surprise this evening as my husband and I just visited for the first time. It was very quaint from the curb to the antique chair your sat in. Pretty flowers and nice music. We were given immediate attention and our server Courtney was exceptional.
The food was excellent. Nicely prepared and presented with generous portions, enough to take some home with me. And dessert!! :). I can’t wait to go back and try something else on the menu.
Finally, reasonably priced.
