Admittedly, when I think of raw or vegan food I think of not much flavor or not feeling full after a meal. Eating at the fuel really opened my eyes and changed that point of view. I have tried many juices, dishes, wraps and the kale chips and have been blown away by how flavorful and filling they were. You will pay slightly more for food that is made from raw ingredients, but in my opinion it is worth it. The cafe itself is beautiful and the staff brings tons of energy! If you are looking to try something new and want to experience a staff and food that leaves you feeling good, I would highly recommend stopping in at the fuel.

Just wanted to take a minute and thank the wonderful owners of the Fuel. I was vacationing in Michigan when I found this little gem of a restaurant. Everything is gluten free, raw and vegan. Which means I could pick anything on the menu. Since I’m celiac and vegan this is a very big deal. I had the BLT salad with chipotle dressing and cashew cream. I also had a cold pressed juice. Both were so flavorful, nutrient dense and absolutely delicious! I had such a pleasant experience I decided to head back over and meet some friends for lunch. This time I had the açaí bowl with date paste. It was the most yummy açaí bowl I’ve ever tasted. I also tried the cinnamon rolls and another cold pressed juice. Again, everything was fresh, flavorful and delicious! My only regret is not having the chance to stop in one last time before heading out of town. I can’t say enough positive things about this gluten free and raw vegan restaurant. I’m accustomed to finding places like this in Tucson, AZ but wasn’t expecting to find such a special place in a small town. I hope that people in Brighton, MI realize how lucky they are to have the Fuel. And will choose to patronize this amazing business so it will continue to grow and thrive. And I can’t say enough positive things about the owners of the Fuel. They are both passionate, health conscious and driven individuals. They took a substantial amount of time out of their day to talk to me about their new business, educate me regarding the items on the menu and even let me take a peek at the new industrial juicer they recently added to their kitchen. I can’t wait to come back and try more tasty things at this very special place!
