Unique experience to try Chef Celia's delicious dishes. Worth the wait and a little bit pricey but you won't regret it. Cozy and romantic hidden gem. Classic music and great customer service. They can do better on their check out process because I notice that waiter can't process payments only the cook or the ladies in the kitchen so you have to wait till they call them to pay.

Gourmet Central by Cel Catering was by far the best food catering company we’ve work with. Their team was extremely responsive, flexible, and easy going. People could not stop talking about how great the food and service was for our Christmas Banquet. Their food is just delicious, literally everything they made was amazing. I would highly recommend hiring them for any event. They won’t disappoint. ❤️

This morning I treated myself to the almond and chocolate Croissants from Gourmet Central. As expected, they were delicious. I also bought a cinnamon roll but that one is for tomorrow. Highly recommend this place. Their food is delicious and their presentation is outstanding.
Had my nephew's confirmation dinner here as they host private events. Ambience was great and food was delicious. A real gem of a find in Brownsville. Celia is such a talented chef, and a lovely individual!

Destination Wedding
I met Celia through Roland at Namar Event Center in South Padre Island. Celia scheduled me with a taste test dinner run when I visited from Chicago, at that time I knew I had to have her cater my wedding. My now husband and I then returned on another short visit and had a cake & frosting taste test along with Mexican cookie platters....delicious!!!! Catering by Celia and Chickies made our wedding day so great. Food was excellent, table settings were beautiful. My husband must of had some wedding anxiety and said Celia's fideo fixed him!!!
ALL of our guests loved all the food prepared by Gourmet Central...they loved the appetizers, fideo, cilantro dressings, chips and salsa, enchiladas!!! And our wedding cake was the BEST wedding cake ever!!!!
We also had Celia and Chickies do some cookies as a gift to our guests...and WOW...they are amazing!!!
Celia and her team were there every step of the way making sure everything went as planned.
I will definitely reach out to you my friend Celia and Chickes when the Hubby and I are in town!!

Food is delicious and the server did his best but it took over 40 minutes to get our meals.
As always the food and the desserts were delightful. Our grandson was with us and he is a very finiky eater.......well he started out by eating all the vegetable soup, he ate the entire salad, (and he never eats salad) then he devoured the rest of his meal. Thank you Celia and Chickie for a delightful dining experience. Besitos amigas!
Everything was excellent. The corn cream soup was delicious. I especially love the feel of the restaurant.
Great sopa, de poblano.great salsa and fantastic chicken fried chicken with asparagus and rice. It gets a ten for the food and service..
An incredible place to eat but they also have the best catering service around! If you want to impress your guests at your next event make sure and check what they can do for you!!
