My fiancé and I went to New Jewel of India last night for the dinner buffet. The first thing we noticed was how friendly the staff/owners were. Extremely pleasant and accommodating. The buffet is extremely reasonably priced for what is offered. You absolutely must get the garlic naan, and we ordered lamb samosas on the side that were very large and very delicious. It was easy to tell that buffet food was all hot, well seasoned, and prepared with time- better than any of the Indian buffets we’ve tried in the area. The butter chicken, a staple, of course amazing. But they had a lamb curry that was to die for. Highly recommended and we will be returning very soon. They have a lunch buffet we’re eager to try as well. Thumbs way up.

My whole family loves this restaurant. When we lived in Buffalo we went to a place called Star of India, sometimes twice a week. We moved away a while back and heard that one of the chefs from SOI had opened a new restaurant and couldn't have been happier. The food is amazing, the service is great, and the family who runs the place is friendly and welcoming. We try to hit the New Jewel of India at least once every time we come back for a visit, and I make a point to recommend it to my friends who still live in town. I've never been disappointed in a meal here and I wish them all the best.

I eat an awful lot of Indian food. From my first tandoori chicken years ago to today, I actually crave the tang of the spices as mopped up by a piece of garlic naan. My husband and I used to be regulars at a little restaurant in Kenmore where the chef was unbelievably talented. But, as happens sometimes, the restaurant was sold and the chef disappeared. Our favorite chef, and meals, were compromised. Until yesterday. That chef now owns and runs the New Jewel of India with his family. And his techniques - his style - are on oplulent display. The customer service. The taste of something as mainstay as Gobi Alu. The smiles. The chai. Oh, baby... we've come home. We'll be there every week.
