Sichuan Gourmet

So, I’m more of an American-Chinese fan, and this place is super authentic. That’s not a bad thing, but if you’re more of a Panda Express type than a street vendor type, this might not be for you. If you’re adventurous and want authenticity and heat, add a star. If you like Panda’s orange chicken and lo mein, take one away, just being honest. They are quick and friendly. The place is clean - so don’t be fooled by the outside. If you are not a regular and want them to kick it up, be clear about that. Don’t get me wrong - this place is good. But I think a lot of reviewers here are patting themselves on the back for authenticity and posing a bit. If you go for the General Tso’s first (pictured) like me, it may not be what you expect. If you like tripe and dry fish, you will love it. Service is fantastic and on point. Prices are good. Consider it, but knew what you’re getting into!

Amazing Sichuan food. Sooooo delicious. Perfect. Might be best ever Chinese food in my 70+ year life. Wish I lived closer. Owner suggested the ChengDu dumplings. Divine. I also ordered the Braised Pork Belly. OMG. Sooo delish. The ‘appetizer’ bowl of pickles - so good I asked for seconds. Wish they sold them by the jar. Pictures show my extras about to be boxed.

I don't give 5 stars very often. My wife said it was the best general tso's chicken she has ever had. We ordered lunch specials. There was enough food for a snack for a teen age boy. But 2-3 meals for an adult over 40. While we ate the staff was hand making crab ragoons. Those were very good also. Well all of the food was great.
