Jason's Deli can reliably make a good sandwich. On this occasion, I ordered the BLT with egg on gluten-free bread. Everyone in my party of eleven was satisfied with their food even though we had a few small mistakes with our order (ie a sandwich missing mustard). The service is friendly and our food was prepared moderately fast given the size of the order. The soft serve ice cream is a nice touch for those who can eat dairy.

My first visit to a Jason's Deli. I was looking for a meat sandwich as they sell in Canada, e. g. Schwartz Deli in Montreal. So I ordered a byo sandwich warm pastrami on toasted sourdough bread with stone ground mustard and NO cheese(important). It comes very close to the Canada ones but the meat is different and normally sliced thicker there. Anyhow, the taste was great. The location on Santa Barbara Blvd was clean and not crowded at the time of my visit. No waiting time for ordering at the counter and the order was prepared in 3 minutes. Friendly and helpful staff. Free ice-cream! A lot of parking space in front of the shop. I'll be back for more of this style sandwich.

So many choices, I went with the Ruben. It was delicious. They have a great salad bar. We were given a sample of the lobster basket it was so yummy. Will definitely get a bowl next time I visit. Also had free ice cream.
