Delicious food, fresh ingredients, excellent service! My wife had the wild mushroom ravioli and I enjoyed a special offering of Steak au Poivre which was perfectly prepared with their special touch. We visit the area every summer and finally made reservations in advance, so thankful that we did! Great place for a special occasion, noting that it isn’t inexpensive but is well worth it. We can’t wait to visit again!

The Orchard Restaurant is one of our favorite restaurants. It is definitely the best in the area. We try to go often and when we do it’s never a disappointment. We have been going now for several years. Joe is absolutely the best and can remember what you enjoy drinking and what meal you had last time. Such a pleasure to have dinner at The Orchard. This time I ordered the Trout Almondine. OMG, I can’t believe what I had been missing out on. It’s now my favorite new dish. My husband had the pasture and sea which is a bacon wrapped fillet and he chose the crabcakes. He also got the chicken livers appetizer, which is his favorite appetizer. Delicious!!! This is definitely our happy place. Highly recommend this restaurant and Joe!

We've been a bunch of times. The food, service and atmosphere are usually great. Like anywhere - occasionally there is another (?large) party that can ruin the ambiance. But hard to put that on the Orchard. I've had chicken livers/charcutier/lamb/trout, etc there. Food is gourmet but has a strong comfort influence to it. We love going there. Negative ratings on this restaurant and staff are more a reflection on the one giving the review. Prices are very appropriate for the quality of food and service. Will be back!

Awesome food, service and ambiance! Celebrated our 22nd anniversary, our server Joe helped make it that more special. Haven't seen a restaurant include a side salad since I was a server my self over 20 years ago, nice touch! Will come back, whenever in the area again.

Great Service, Marginal Food, Loud Porch Dining. Three of us went. Two of us thought that their entrees were particularly good. I though my entree was marginal. We all enjoyed the Appalachian Charcuterie Appetizer (A Board Containing Goat Cheese, Pimento, Brie (All from local farms), salami's, spiced walnuts, dried fruit and spiced blueberry preserve). One member of our party loved the spice blueberry preserve and ordered a side to go with her entree. I had the Continental Divide Trout (boned trout filet laced with a lump crab stuffing and char-grilled over an open flame. Finished with a lemon herb butter.) I was disappointed - the trout was overcooked and dry and there were too many carrots on the dish. Another person had the Panthertown Pork Tenderloin herb rubbed and pan roasted, served with a black cherry demi-glace, crispy Vidalia onion rings and garlic chive goat cheese crumbles. She said that the demi-glaze, missed the mark, but she enjoyed this dish with a side of the forementioned spiced blueberry preserves. The third member of our party enjoyed the Trout Chatanooga (boned trout filet dusted in flour, gently sauteed in olive oil, herbs and seasonings and a splash of wine.) The service was excellent. Our server was professional, courteous, and very attentive. The porch where we were seated was exceptionally noisy - to the point that it was hard to hear the server read the specials, or converse with other members of our dining party.

We come eat here once a year while we are in Cashiers. Great food. They do alot of fresh local dishes most of which are fantastic. The appetizers are on the very small side, but the main courses are very filling. Service is spot on both the server and the bartender visit the table and introduce themselves. They are always knowledgeable and helpful. Do make a reservation as they tend to fill up. Sometimes if you're lucky the local black bear will visit the field by the restaurant.

PHENOMENAL! Only way to describe this meal. I was looking for something a little special for New Year’s Eve dinner for my wife and I. Choices were limited in Cashiers, but I decided to make reservations at The Orchard”. Am I ever glad I did. The ambiance was perfect (upscale but not at all pretentious), the services was great (engaging and knowledgeable without being overbearing), and the food was fantastic. We started off with the charcuterie board which turned out to be a great choice. The Cesar salad WITH anchovies was one of the best ever. My wife ordered the Silver Run Seafood and Pasta and I selected the Trout Chatuga. Both were better than we had anticipated. The orchard made our New Year’s Eve special and we will definitely be back!

You CANNOT go wrong with this place. We sat after the meal was over and went back through every top restaurant we have ever been to and decided this is our number one restaurant of all time. The steak and the venison made us both stop in our tracks. It was like biting into a cupcake, but it was steak. So tender, so flavorful. We were full, but we had to keep eating it. I had carrots, risotto and baby kale. I've never had kale that tasted so good. I would have eaten a whole bowl. Everything on my plate was top notch and beautifully presented. I forgot to mention the app. We got the mussels. We get mussels a lot. Most of the time they are overcooked. These were perfect! The sauce was good as well but when my husband squeezed the lemon juice on it, it took them two notches up. Highly recommend these if you like mussels or if this is the first time to try them. Top notch. The salads were also great. We both agreed my house salad with Vidalia onion poppyseed vinaigrette won over top of my husband's Caesar. Then...even though we were ridiculously full, they said they had creme brulee. I can't pass one up and this one was made with Bailey's. Oh my. It was good. It was even better with the Educated Guess Cabernet Sauvignon that we were drinking for the dinner. Then let's talk about the service. Impeccable. I think every server came to our table to chat, refill our glass, ask us if we were ok. And every single person had a smile. They all seemed like they enjoyed their job. Then. I left my purse. We hadn't been gone but for a minute and they called to let me know they had it! Then, when I walked in the door they knew who I was and handed it right to me. I LOVE this place and it will be a spot we visit every time we are in Cashier's. Great job to the Orchard team!! Thank you!!

My partner and I thoroughly enjoyed our meal. We shared the Fried Green Tomatoes as a light and tasty appetizer. We both had one of the Trout dishes (spectacular). Then split the Key Lime pie for a refreshing end to our meal. This is a GO TO place if you are in Cashiers NC.

My husband DJ’d an event here and we had the pleasure of eating the owners food from the restaurant! Which makes me write this review because he is also the chef!!! Fantastic food! We will be back to the restaurant to try more delicious things!!!
