We had been waiting to try the Pig and Porter, and last night was the night! My son, his lovely girlfriend, my husband and myself. It was a bit too cool to sit on the patio, so we opted to sit inside. Andrew served us and was wonderful, informative and just plain nice! The drinks were original and fantastic! My dark and stormy had great flavor! I am not sure what this drink was called, but it started with smoking vanilla tobacco into a glass.
We tried three smalls, and then shared the chicken curry meal.
Each dish was an individual delight, filled with flavor.
And dessert.... wow!
Adria was another friendly face, making us feel so welcome.
This is a place to visit again and again.
Friend of mine told me it was loud, the menu was "weird," and it was "all flash and no substance". Good thing I didn't listen! I loved it! The bartenders know how to make a classic cocktail, (a darn good one)The atmosphere has a great vibe; great music overhead and not too loud, very friendly staff and bartenders, the menu was delicious and interesting, and the fact that they rotate the menu and the chefs don't shy from challenges, makes it even better. And you can watch them, as there is an open kitchen. It is something fantastic this Midwestern town needs!
Inventive cocktails, delicious and unique seasonal menu. The seafood tostadas were SO good. Enjoyed patio dining on a nice evening. Our server was wonderful!
Beautiful food prep, taste buds went BOOM! Excellent food, service, and atmosphere. Took a friend who had flown in from New York and we enjoyed the roasted cauliflower and the roasted beets. Great place! Wish we still drank, the bar looks excellent! Looking forward to visiting regularly when I get into Cedar Rapids.
One of the few nice restaurants in Cedar Rapids with a great drink menu and tasty entrees. The patio lends itself to nice dinners outdoors.
