I've eaten here a couple of times and I regret not finding this one sooner. I have yet to have a bad bowl of pho in NOVA, but I think this may be my favorite so far. Really generous portions of garnishes, noodles and meat. The large is so filling I never finish. But all bowls of pho are measured on their broth and even with all the generous portions of the expensive and filling things, this broth really resonates with me. The aromatics shine through and compliments the beef broth. The crispy spring rolls are also larger than many other Vietnamese restaurants, but one minor complaint is they are very oily. The taste and texture is good though and the filling is definitely uniquely theirs. If you find yourself out by the Dulles airport or the Air and Space Museum, it's worth your time to check this place out.
Generous serving size, the small bowl was more than enough for me. I thought the broth could have been a little warmer. A little overpriced in my opinion. The restaurant needs something, anything on the walls.
I stopped by on a trip to DC for a casual summer roll to go. Because I’m special I bought another summer roll from the business a few stores down. This one took the win, so much so that I’m writing a review, who writes a review for a summer roll? When it’s that good, Me.
If you’ve stuck around this far I’m guessing you’re a summer roll connoisseur. Keep reading.
The comparison went as follows:
Pho 102 summer vs Other
*Pho 102 the rolls came in a smaller package, more environmentally friendly.
*Pho 102’s roll weights twice as much as their competitor, keeping me fuller for longer.
*Pho 102 had TWO peanut sauce containers vs 1 sweet and sour
*pho 102 had like 3 times as much tofu and it was cooked, nice and warm.
*Pho 102 rolls cost less.
*Pho 102 already has a vegan roll option so it saves time and I don’t have to explain myself, giving me more free time to live my best life.
The verdict is clear. This has been one my favorite rolls thus far, great job y’all.
While in the Metrotech Plaza area for lunch, I picked up Chicken Pho for the family from Pho 102 to bring home for dinner. They packed it perfectly to make the hour+ trip home. The prices are a little steep, but the quality was excellent! The jalapeños were big and spicy… The basil, lime, and sprouts were all very fresh and robust. The pho broth was very nicely done, no grease bubbles floating in it and packed with flavor! The chicken was nicely done as well.
Overall, definitely would recommend!
Very nice and good food come with empty stomach it will be filled for a week ! It’s worth the try !
