Top notch attentive service from Shane today. He knew the menu and ingredients through and through. I had the tenderloin with eggplant that was cooked a very tender medium with fresh mozzarella, roasted potatoes and carrots. With a yummy pinot noir. Hubby had the linguine crema de mare. He said it was so buttery creamy with the perfect amount of seafood flavor. We definitely recommend this place and hope to come back soon!
The meatballs are to die for, and if you’re feeling creative, I add seafood to the Guiseppe and it is absolutely the best pasta dish you will ever have!!!
This Italian restaurant is an excellent combination of good food, atmosphere and service ! The staff was welcoming and very helpful . The waiter listened to my needs and was more than happy to accommodate to make my meal the way I asked for. Joe, the owner, he is super friendly , he takes the time to check on his customers one by one to make sure everyone is satisfied! We love Filippos and recommend it for everyone!
Such yummy food & great atmosphere! We always get the same server & he’s the best! You won’t be disappointed if you go here
Cozy yet classy atmosphere. Food was fantastic! Joe's vodka sauce was creamy and delicious! Everything tastes so fresh! David our waiter provded fantastic service. He was fast knowledgeable and very attentive. Love how the owner Joe walks around to greet and speak with all his guests. Would definitely go back!!
My favorite place to go! The atmosphere is amazing, and food even better. You can't order anything bad here! Staff is always so nice and really enjoy getting to know you. Love love love it!
Why didn't I know about this place!. A friend told me that Filippo's is all about sauces. Bravo, great minds think alike. My wife had double lamb chops with a caper sauce that bordered on a Greek influence. Wasn't Sicily part of Greece hundreds of years ago? I had a veal dish that was to die for. Since I quit drinking desserts have taken on a whole new meaning so the lemon cake was a must. We usually share one but after eating this heavenly gift we went for two. Entree's are on the high end but offer great value. You can get in and out much cheaper if you stick to salads and pasta, the latter offering up some great tastes.
My husband and I loved it! The food was fabulous from the Spicy Meatball appetizer to the wonderful Tiramisu and freshly brewed coffee. My husband had the Creme de Mare Linguini and commented that the flavor was really good and not over-powered by garlic. My Chicken Limone was delicious and the roasted vegetables and salad were so fresh-tasting. The Spicy Meatballs are a must!! The only suggestion I would make is to bring the price point down a little. But then we might not be able to get in right away on a Friday night.
Great food. A friend and I had dinner here last weekend and we both ordered from the specials menu. I had the salmon with champagne cream sauce with vegetables and she had the eggplant lasagne. Both dinners were very nice size portions and were very good and the salads were great too. The owner came by our table 3 times and stopped to speak to us for a while and was very welcoming. The only hiccups were that the bar was out of Belvedere vodka and when my friend ordered a glass of wine, she was told they were out of that particular wine but there was a comparable wine she could buy but only by the bottle, so she changed her wine order. Also, after our food arrived, the waiter didn't check on us again for over 20 minutes and we were both out of water. Other than that, it was a nice experience and we will be back.
A Real Treat. Joe and family have done it up right. Had a terrific dinner there a week after opening and it was top notch. Great addition to Chesterfield.
Had an excellent visit. Menu is smaller than some other restaurants but I found that the selection did not need to be larger. The entrees they have focused on are top notch and I think the phrase "quality over quantity" is very appropriate here. Of note was our waiter James. Quite simply one of the best waitstaff I have had in years. He was attentive, knew the menu backwards and forwards (to include specials not on the menu) and was generally a delight to have serving us. Highly recommend this Italian restaurant.
This place is AWESOME. Locally owned and authentic Italian food. Spectacular service, excellent wine selection, great atmosphere (nice for a date or a family event). The owner (Joe) came to our table to check that everything was good, and spent a few minutes talking with us (great guy). The food was perfect.
The specials of the day was a lobster ravioli and a meat cannelloni with a mixed tomato and cream sauce. They were both amazing! The service was fantastic. We visited from out of town and will definitely go back if we are in the area again.
Wow! Where do I start! GREAT SERVICE! Request Jason, but I would bet you couldn't go wrong with anyone. All were friendly! A hidden gem! Italian classics at their best! Generous portions! Salad was fresh, felt like it was prepared in house-not "born in a bag". Cozy, unpretentious atmosphere. Would definitely go back when in the area!
House salad was delicious! I had the lobster ravioli in the bianco sauce. It was divine! Not heavy at all, which was what I was looking for. Paired very well with the Malbec. I could only include a pic of one of the raviolis as I had already eaten all of the rest. I did ask for a piece of bread to finish up the sauce! My daughter has the chicken Parmesan and it was pretty much inhaled. She said it was delicious. Atmosphere was wonderful! Wait staff was very helpful and attentive.
Add in: ordered the chocolate cake for desert...YUMMY!! Would highly recommend!
