Great place to hang out, people watch, and drink beer especially when there are food trucks in the beer garden or indoor night market next to the tap room. It is family friendly given the location near Lincoln Square but it is better as an adult-only space. Friendly staff with solid beer selection. They host many interesting events.

The place was pretty busy in Friday evening. It’s better to book before going in busy times or weekend. They have plenty of sitting places-indoor and outdoor. The staffs are friendly, they well described the menus. We ordered Happy Tomatoes and Half acre burger. I like the Happy Tomatoes. The burger was not that much good-it’s dry, not juicy. The quantity of the beer is really good. We don’t expect that much in $4. We tried Fruited Friends, Hazy India Pale Ale and Only Gold. I like the Only Gold most.

Been a fan of Half Acre since they were located on Lincoln Avenue in the Lincoln Square neighborhood and they didn’t have a kitchen during that time. Just a note, I dont rank the brews made breweries, Im rating their food, cause most breweries don’t have a full kitchen. Their Bowmanville location has a full kitchen. Today was the 2023 DB Catch Hell release, so i ordered their Nitro version from the tap with their chicken sandwich and fries. I have eaten here plenty of times. Their chicken sandwich is nicely deep fried and moist with crunchy breading. What makes this unique is their gochujang aoili, which is a Korean inspired y sauce made with chili peppers and fermented soybeans. There is a nice sweet & heat in this sauce and contrasted with cool crisp vinegar slaw. The seasoned fries has a crispy exterior with an airy fluffy and light interior. Great side!! The staff is friendly and attentive and the space is open and inviting. They have a great outdoor patio as well. A solid 4.5 stars on food.
