There are some things that simply must be experienced to understand I'm Soul Hungry is one. The love here is palpable. The food here is not just fantastic it is made by experts in the black culture and in love by the chefs they make there food with great care they are able to do what some places cannot the food comes out piping hot and full of flavor. The owner is a great person and the place is beautiful. I am reminded of Sunday dinner after a long day of church every time I go in the food is so good it warms the heart. This place is also special because it is one of the only soul-food restaurant on the north end of Chicago In that light I'm Soul Hungry stands atop of the Black Culinary World in Chicago

Today, I stopped to try the place as there are very few viable soul food options on the northside. I had the fried chicken wings, sweet potatoes, and collard greens. The wings were seasoned to perfection and fried a crispy golden brown. The sweet potatoes and greens were both pleasing to the palate. The setting is upscale and trendy chic. This place is not your average soul food restaurant and the amenities offered make it worthy of becoming a repeat diner. I will be a regular.

I been trying to try them out for the longest n yesterday I finally stop there n grab my grandmother n i some dinner n we love it � my grandma n really picky when it come to soul food but yes I highly recommend this place
