Stopped by for a quick bite. Clean, bright and spacious place. Courteous, friendly customer service by a red haired gentleman. Didn’t get his name(wish we did). He patiently explained the differences between items and made recommendations. The mini burgers were so yummy that we went for second order & even take out! Plenty of parking spaces in the parking lot.
Very nice place. The man who took my order at the drive-thru was very pleasant and polite. He told me before he ran my card that they were making new cheeseburgers, and it would be a few minutes and asked if that was OK? I was willing to wait.
Their little square burgers are unofficially called sliders. If you're a sliderhead you start cheering up as soon as you open your car door out in the parking lot and are greeted by the wonderful fragrance permeating the neighborhood exuded by what's being grilled inside. Sliders are quite small, so you need more than just one or two. A number one combo will get you four burgers, golden French fries and a fountain soda or cup of their famous coffee. Their coffee is so popular that White Castle's faithful customers demanded they bag the grounds up for them to take out and brew at home. You can now also find it in some grocery stores. What really makes a slider a slider is the diced sweet onions sautéed to perfection on the grill alongside the beef patties. I always ask for extra onions, otherwise they may be scant on your sliders. A word of caution: the bottom of the little square bun absorbs the juices from the patty and you know what happens when white bread gets damp. White Castle devotees aren't put off by this at all, it's just part of the experience; and you mustn't let this discourage you from trying these gastronomical delights if you have never tried them. They also offer fish sandwiches and chicken and onion rings, etc.
