Not only does Plumb line make amazing coffee (their lavender latte is to die for), but the staff is so friendly and helpful. I went in to buy a bag of coffee for my new home espresso machine and (I believe) the owner explained to me in detail what to do, gave me troubleshooting advice, and wrote it all down. I haven't had a drink that I haven't liked from here, and even though I have an espresso machine, I will still be visiting Plumb line because of the staff, atmosphere, and coffee.

I finally visited this coffee shop with my boyfriend and 2 young kids after FB-stalking them for awhile. (Not a morning person and can't drink coffee later in the day as it will keep me awake too long.) I asked for a recommendation on a drink and it was amazing! We also got pastries which tasted fantastic, and my daughter got a hot chocolate. The atmosphere was relaxing and the decor was really neat. The staff was so friendly and kind. I definitely recommend Plumb Line! Thanks for a great first experience. We will be back.

I live in Dickson, about a 45 minute drive to Clarksville. It also takes about 45 minutes to get to Nashville where there are dozens of top rated coffee shops. It used to be that Nashville had the only place for coffee around here. But the more I drink Plumb Line's coffee, the more I realize that Nashville's coffee is now a letdown in comparison. I find myself drinking a cup at Crema or 8th & Roast and think, "It's good, but not as good as Plumb Line." (?!?!?) I didn't expect that. To name your coffee shop after a word for "setting the standard for all others," is a tall order. But honestly, they've done it. The owner, if you pay attention, has this unwillingness to serve anything but greatness. He'll often dump out shots that don't meet his standards. I think I've tried just about all of the drinks on the menu, but my current drink of perfection is the 6 oz. Cuban latte. Holy bologna.
