Big Dan

Big Bear is a first class operation from the moment you walk in! The restaurant is extremely clean, the staff is attentive and kind, and the food is always delicious, cooked just perfectly, and full of flavor! My wife and I LOVE the new England clam chowder on Friday, the duroc pork chop when they have it, and the key lime pie and cheesecake are always great along with their in-house brewed root beer 😋 if you are looking for a nice date night that won’t disappoint, this is the place to go! Edit: My wife and I came for brunch today and everything was first class as usual, from the service, to the food, to the pricing! 10/10

We’ve been to the Big Bear for many years and have never left disappointed. Last visit had the cajun rainbow trout - very tasty. The Caesar salad to start was very good - not overly dressed and the homemade croutons superb. The grilled vegetable sandwich is huge, decent flavour. A little more grill would have made it better. The French onion soup is outstanding. Always a treat to try the many beers if you can make room!

We went on Friday afternoon during happy hour. I guess because it is summer time there were a lot of families and big groups waiting to be seated. Since we were just 2 , we had a booth right away. This is not the first time we go there and has never disappointed. We had spinach dip as appetizer. Grilled chicken sandwich and prime rib french dip. Everything was good and tasty. The service was good and friendly.
