We really enjoy this place. Be prepared for a lot of good food and attentive service. This is our 'go to' restaurant for Chinese these days.

Great lunch specials with soup and egg roll. Very friendly wait staff. I've been going to this restaurant for 25 years. I remember when it was still in the old building before they completely rebuilt that HEB in the mid-90's. No buffet. It is all fresh cooked and delicious. The waiter went out of his way to help one of the guests who was a vegetarian.

I’ve never written a review, but after moving away from Corpus Christi I am REALLY missing this place right now! The food from Hutai is delicious (I’ve had almost everything on the menu) especially the egg rolls and fried rice. Prices are reasonable, especially their lunch specials. This was a popular place throughout my high school years and once when I was sick and forgot my wallet in my car, the owner gave me my order on the house. Great people and great food!

I've dined in several times, but because of my schedule, I mostly order carry out. Among my favorites is the sesame beef. I've never been disappointed. If you enjoy a robust sweet style plate, I highly recommend it

This is my favorite Chinese restaurant: outstanding egg rolls, hot and sour soup, and won ton soup. The chef makes the best dark sauce for meat dishes! The beef in the beef dishes is wonderfully tender. The chef is the proprietor and everything he does is superb! 5 stars for sure!!
