We were originally going to eat sushi at another establishment before some friends of ours referred us to this place. We went on a Monday afternoon right after they opened so the place was nice and quiet. The staff was very helpful with the menu and even informed us of the best times to go if we were going to have our children in attendance with us. My wife and I are huge sushi fans and have eaten at just about every sushi place in town. This place by far has become our #1 spot. To say the food is delicious is an understatement.
For the people who leave bad reviews. The sushi here is worth the wait and even better that you get to bring your own drinks. Makes it a party every time we go with family or friends. At times we have to wait long but other times we dont but every time we go it's worth the wait and the sushi gets better every time. We love it here...
Freshest sushi I've ever had! The owner (Michelle) takes great pride in her business and it shows not only in her dishes, but also in her staff. I've been to several sushi places in corpus and south texas sushi is by far the best. I highly recommend the tuna tower! You won't be disappointed.
Best place for sushi, period! My wife is extremely picky with her sushi and will only eat it from 1 place in Maryland...until now! South Texas Sushi is the only sushi restaurant in Texas that she will eat at! Thank you for making her a believer! Amazing... amazing food, very clean welcoming environment, and super friendly staff. We might drive all the way down from Virginia again, just to eat at South Texas Sushi again!!!
The best sushi my wife and I ever had. We moved here from Los Angeles and this sushi is better than any spots we have in LA if you can believe that. You can BYOB and they ice it for you and give you chilled mugs. Very chill atmosphere with some cool artwork. Chef Michelle served us and prepared our rolls personally. The presentation of the food is beautiful and each bite is delicious. Thick chunks of fish on all rolls so she is not stingy on the quantities. Plus Chef Michelle was super cool to talk to. Rattlesnake roll was my favorite. Get it if you go. We will be going here for date nights in the future.
Great sushi! First time here, have always seen the people waiting outside and never waited ourselves, but went on a whim, and was pleasantly surprised by the quality and flavor of the rolls we got.
We had 5 rolls and the blackened tuna ceviche, which was so good! All the rolls we had had different flavor and all the ingredients of each blended so well, to die for!
Staff was super friendly and knowledgeable.
BTW-CASH ONLY!! A bit of an inconvenience, but worth the trip to ATM, even though there is a sign on the door with credit card logos.
The BEST sushi in Corpus!! Hands down the best sushi I've ever had. This place has never disappointed me and we've eaten here plenty of times. It's always fresh and delicious! Sometimes there is a bit of a wait, but its well worth it. Plus, its BYOB so you can't go wrong here.

Don't let first impressions deceive you! We were a bit skeptical at first from the outside but decided to give it a try because some friends had been before and like it. WOW!! Really great sushi!! Dumplings were amazing and I highly recommend the fire starter roll!! Very pleasantly suprised. Do yourself a favor and try South Texas Sushi! #STXSushi
Best sushi in town and the atmosphere, along with the BYOB perk is awesome. Tuna Tower is the must have here but their rolls are amazing also. White Tiger, Dragons Fire, Rattlesnake, Kamikaze, and the list goes on of incredible rolls.
