This particular Mac's in Crystal Lake, IL is pretty nice from the standpoint of drive up. It has a two lane order place. The people were all polite. Had to wait a few minutes for the food but that was nothing. They directed me to the spots in the parking lot where someone came out with the food. Very quick and good. The quality of the meal was up to par as well.

Ordered through mobile ordering and checked in to the restaurant at 156 pm. Drive thru and lobby was dead. Did not receive order until 208 pm. Lady brought out order, no apology or nothing. Just handed the bag and walked away. Having worked in the industry in the past, and at that exact store for a number of years, this was an extremely poor example of customer service. Just had another similar experience this morning - stopped in drive thru for 2 McGriddle sandwiches this morning. Paid at 8:33 am. Got to second window and was handed the wrong order. Gave it back and told them such. After waiting at the window for 3 more mins, they parked me. 17 mins later, I finally got my 2 Sausage McGriddles... Mind you these items take no more than 6 mins to make completely fresh! This location has really gone downhill!!

As an overall for McDonald's I absolutely don't like their menu both online and in the restaurant. Today I walked out due to the difficulty on trying to place an order. It is more than frustrating. If you don't order on their app you miss their specials. However their app is frustrating to order on to say the least. I went across the parking lot to Burger King and I was done in less than 2 minutes with a breakfast sandwich that was 2 for $4. So hopefully the ridiculous menu will be simplified. We as customers should be able to be in and out without getting frustrated with their whole system. Oh one more thing , this wasn't the first time that I tried to pick up food and changed mind with their confusing app. They need to get some feedback on both from customers. They will keep loosing them especially older people who don't want to go online just to pick up a sandwich 😒.
