Chips were stale but on Mondays they have tacos for basically a buck and the chicken tacos are really good. Though they don't give you much sour cream if at all.
It's nice to see that this long time Miami chain has decided to franchise. Used to be a great pit-stop down in Coral Gables where I grew up.
I stopped by the new Davie location with my wife on a weeknight, the owners were both there and extremely helpful and friendly. Food was great (including the salsa bar) and beer was cold!
Can't wait to go back!
My 8year old son and I always like trying out new local restaurants, and we gotta say, the most important thing for us is tolerance and the way employees/owners treat us. Well, the staff was excellent, they asked us a couple times if we needed something, the food was good, and the price was right. We ate today Monday and bought a bunch of $0.95 tacos! Yummy.
First time ordering . Long wait . Polite driver . On time. I ordered the Carnitas Taco Platter. Beans and rice were delicious but cold and no fork or spoon. Meat too spicy and too hard because of how cold it was. I ordered a quesadilla for my son but he wouldn't eat it because it was cold. I had no complaints from my sons dad as he ate a chicken burrito. Both meals came with chips and salsa so that's a plus! Overall 2 stars. Not my first or second choice.
If you are in the mood for good Tex-Mex food in south Florida, this is the place to go. The food is good and the service is quick. Taco Rico offers fresh complimentary tortilla chips along with a variety of home made salsas. This is a great place for a quick lunch or dinner.
