Pizza Factory Decatur

Thirty years ago, when we first married, Sunday nights were pizza night with our parents. We could not afford to buy take-out, so Sunday night pizza night was one way for our parents to support us. We had a locally owned pizza place that was THE place for Sunday Night Pizza Night. We have seriously considered driving four hours one way to enjoy it again. We have newly instituted Saturday night Pizza night with our kids this Spring. We are looking for THE place to make Saturday night pizza night a new tradition in our family. These are our experiences based on our likes and dislikes. Pizza is one of those things that everyone has a different favorite. Here is our opinion of…Pizza Factory. The crust was a thin crust with a little bit of chew. The sauce is slightly sweet. Some of us enjoyed the sauce, however we do prefer a savory sauce. The balance of sauce and cheese were great. We ordered the Super Special Delight and a one-topping Pepperoni. The toppings were abundant, and we were thrilled to see that. Everyone liked the Pepperoni. The Super Special was also particularly good, although the sweetness of the sauce clashed a little with the savory toppings. If there was a choice between savory and sweet sauces, this may have been a top contender. However, we have one family member who just does not enjoy a sweet sauce at all. We recommend Pizza factory if you love a thin crust and a slightly sweet sauce.

We came out from the 615 Christmas Concert and it was done at 10:30pm. My girls were hungry for pizza and most restaurants are closed. So glad to see The Pizza Factory was open. Their pizza is good. Their breadsticks are amazing. Soft and buttery. We didn't even order breadsticks. They gave us some as they made extra. Disappointed i didn't order myself 😅. Definitely will order breadsticks next time 😎 with extra. Breadsticks I've had other places are dry or they have the day old feel like getting stale, but these are fresh and sooo good.
