If you want to say hello to a part of yourself that keeps you young and in "tune" with the true essence of being,go,no run to the House cafe. Seriously great vibes reside. Cool food, bevs and staff to b.s. with. Of course the main dish of music is par exelance.

I am very happy to see The House Cafe thriving and putting on some great events. There was a small hiccup in time where ownership may have fell into the hands of those who did not understand the community or idea of THC but it seems this place has stood back up on its own legs and will continue to be the community center and place of comfort for Dekalb.

Favorite business in DeKalb. Good cheap coffee and food (with vegetarian/vegan options) General open mic Mondays, yoga and salsa class Tuesdays, comedy open mic Wednesdays, music shows Thursdays through Sunday, and other special events (like drag shows, kid and family events, etc.) Keep in mind when reading reviews of The House Cafe that it's changed ownership multiple times over the past several years, with the current owners haven taken over roughly two years ago now.
