First time, our waiter was very kind & it was a good time. Chips & salsa are yum. We tried 6 tacos w different meats: our favorite was the carne asada (which he recommended as his fav too), the pastor was solid (very good), the chicken was shredded & juicy, the barbacoa was actually one of my favs & I usually don't choose barbacoa, the chicharrón had good flavor & the texture was decent, & the carnitas = juicy. I really liked that they were not only topped with onions & cilantro, but also fresh lettuce & tomatoes! Both the red & green sauce had good spice & flavor, they had more of a watery consistency, but we used them on each taco. The ceviche was so different, the spice & flavor was unlike any ceviche we've had. The fish & avocado in it were perfect. This spot is well priced, I recommend! We will be back :)
Street tacos rocked. My husband had beef enchiladas and said they were awesome. Definitely a must for real Mexican food
For almost 20 years, I've been either going here or thinking about going here. The prices are amazing and the food is phenomenal.
As I've moved around the state, I still compare every Mexican restaurant to La Mexicana. Some come close, but none warrant 45 min drives the way this place does.
The veggie quesadilla is delicious! It would be really easy to make a simple veggie quesadilla bland, but there’s is SO flavorful with onions, cheese, spinach, and mushroom. The atmosphere is always warm and family-friendly. Very expensive for how delicious the food is!
I had a really great experience here and had some amazing steak tacos. I will be back to try other things, but overall delicious!
