Buttercream Bakeshop Denver

I am a little confused. As far as I can see place is called Buttercream Bakery. Regardless they are a cute shop with fantastic baked goods. Yes they are a little high in price $4.75 for a cupcake. Other places in Denver that I enjoy going to for macarons sell these little tiny French cookies for $2.50 each. I came in to see if they had macarons. They do not. I left with a chocolate flourless cupcake with cream cheese frosting. To say I was leary is an understatement. I am so picky with cupcakes and frosting as I love to bake myself. The girl behind the counter was super friendly and knowledgeable. I was not going to try the cupcake immediately because I had to be somewhere. Alas I failed. I had to try it. The cupcake did not disappoint. The frosting is great. Not too sweet and not grainy like frosting can get. I could have done without the sprinkles maybe some chocolate drizzle instead. The cupcake itself was baked perfect. Now if you get the flourless chocolate cake you need to remember that this will have more of a brownie consistency. My biggest issue will be to change flavors every now and then. Why? Because I really like what I like. Maybe I will get 2 flavors next time and bring one to my husband too.
