Damn..... Went on Sunday morning. You walk in and are assaulted by smells and sights that make you want to consume everything. After very difficult internal struggles, I decided on the lemon poppy seed muffin, which my daughter also got. My wife got the BananaPete pie. We grabbed some cool mugs out of the cabinet, got our coffee, and went to work. Quite possibly the best muffin i have ever had. Could only eat half due to its size. This thing was insane. The banana pie tasted like heaven. I ate myself sick . Very proud of myself. And just because I have no self control, grabbed a couple double chocolate cookies and a brownie (gluten free!!) on the way out. These will not last the day. The interior is cute and hipster friendly. The wait staff was very pleasant. It was not crowded at all on a Sunday morning. We will , without question be stopping by here each time we make an excursion to Eastern Market. Awesome place!! Highly recommend!!!

The asparagus and pea shoot scone was amazing! Perfectly salty and savory, large size and good price point. However my favorite thing was the vegan and gluten free brownie. I bought it because it was on the day old tray and figured why not? I didn't even know it was vegan and gluten free when purchasing. Well, I took one bite and fell in love. It's cocoa flavor is strong, chunks of cocoa, perfectly sweet. It wasn't overbearingly sweet and is a perfectly fudgy tasting.

Today was the first visit to the store, but my second experience with Sister Pie. We remembered that we had such a great treat the first time, that we turned around as we were leaving the city just to stop by. The shop was quaint and the treats were great. Today we had the best Malted Lime pie I've ever had. Also an incredible vegan and gluten free brownie. Can't wait to go again.
