If you are not from the immediate area, you will find Kodiak Jacks to be a really unique spot. It is located in an area surrounded by countryside and farms. Program it into your GPS so you might drive right by it.
On our visit we sat on the patio, as the main dining room was closed. This appears to be typical on Tuesday and Wednesday nights at this time. We entered The Grove area (entrance off to the rear left if the building) where are there are tables scattered throughout the space. Servers were not coming to the tables oer protocol, but there was a table under a tent by the building where you could walk up and order food & non-alcoholic beverages. Simply pay for your food there and they will bring it to you when it's ready. The outdoor bar was also open for those wanting beer, wine or a cocktail.
Portions are very generous and the food was tasty and hit the spot. On Tuesday and Wednesday nights they have live music (6-9 pm) as well as other nights with feature bands. Be sure to check there calendar (on their website). Predominantly a summertime thing with bands on the outdoor stage.
Certainly a place worth checking out, but bring your appetite or you will be bringing home leftovers!
First time here, didnt eat, bar and dining area were nice and comfortable by appearance. Outside was a band we went to check out with a small bar out back. Great area, good service. Had fun, would come back to try food or if the band looks good.
The fish frys were great! I did the regular beer battered fish fry and my friend did the Italian seasoned broiled fish fry. Both were massive with tons of sides and super delicious. Also the sweet potato waffle fries are like potato candy. My friend blew up the women's bathroom and the owner fixed it immediately without even rolling his eyes or poking fun at her. Awesome service, will go back again.
The food was delicious. I think we had a great time because the service was excellent and the employees not only treated us well, they showed enthusiasm; which contributed to the great atmosphere. I look forward to our next visit.
Very delicious fishy fry. Very friendly staff and reasonable prices. Would definitely go back in the future. The German Potato Salad was also very good.
Large variety of menu items. Had the prime rib sliders very good. Large outdoor area for dining and a live band playing. Many live band dates for June. Never a cover charge.
Love coming for the Halloween party, been to every one since 2015; usually my only visit of the year. Free buffet during party and no admission fee. If nothing else, come for this event.
Huge fish fry. Light and flaky. German potato salad is homemade and flavorful. Just a hair too much vinegar. Coleslaw was pretty flat, macaroni salad delicious. Service was prompt and friendly. Design makes it overly noisy, and you get the scent of snowmobile exhaust anytime the door is opened, but it's a snowmobile stop and it's a bar so you really shouldn't expect differently.
