Ah, Zaza, my friends, is a truly unique culinary experience. This establishment dances to its own tune, offering a delightful blend of hibachi mastery, a steadfast commitment to halal cuisine, and an inviting ambiance that beckons you in. Now, let's be clear, giving Zaza a perfect 5-star rating might be an impossible feat, for it excels in a multitude of areas but doesn't quite reach the pinnacle of perfection in any single one. However, if you're in search of an intimate, low-key spot in the heart of Long Island for a memorable date night, this is a place that deserves to be at the top of your list. Nestled inconspicuously in Commack, Zaza is a hidden gem worth the journey. Their dedication to quality and unique offerings make for a culinary adventure that's sure to leave a lasting impression. So, don't hesitate, my friends; pay them a visit and let them know just how much you savor the extraordinary flavors they craft with such care.
Tried Japanese Hibachi for the first time, and the experience was worth it. Loved the food very much, ordered angus steak and chicken hibachi for the main, and for appetizers had chicken gyoza and amazing shrimps. Everything was spot on and enjoyed the food plus the theatrics from the chef making our food. Highly recommended, coming again !!
Everything tasted great. Loved our chef! We had the 2 item combo hibachi. It came with this delicious onion soup, salad with the mango dressing, two shrimp, your choice of fried rice or noodles (cost $2), 2 pieces of shrimp and your choice of 2 meats (I had chicken and salmon, the other guest had steak and scallops). They are also willing to show you the meat they use if you need halal verification. They do sell alcohol but is not used for the strictly halal guests. Make sure you mention you’d like strictly halal service. They do have automated gratuity.
A halal hibachi place in New York. Best believe we will be back. Not only was it halal but it was great food for a great price. The steak was cooked exactly how we wanted it to be, and the drinks were all great (virgin drinks). The mango drink we had tasted like a mango shaved icy of sorts and we were just as impressed by the lemonades. This was over an hour of a drive and we loved every bit of it. The staff was very accommodating and the hibachi was an experience in itself. Glad to have taken the family here, it was a great experience and great food for a good price.
If I were to suggest anything, I would say that cleaning should not take place of the hibachi grill while people are still eating on the table. But it was almost closing time and the staff was accommodating. I wish I had an opportunity to take more pictures as the place is absolutely beautiful.
Good Japanese Restaurant covering Hibachi and Sushi styles with a small bar. Hibachi show was pretty standard but the food was done well. Sushi is fresh and tasteful. Drinks are interesting and virgin options are offered. Rock Shrimp Appetizer and Lobster Hibachi are really good.
