The View Restaurant At The Historic Crags Lodge Estes Park

I was told by the owner of the B&B where we were staying that this would be a great romantic place to take my girlfriend for her first dinner ever in Estes. We were coming from PA so I emailed Jessica and asked for a window view table for 2. She responded quickly and was very accommodating to my questions. I have to say the ambiance of the old lodge is unparalleled by anything I've been in west of Vermont. Just the impact of the entire wall of windows...real honest to god windows respite with air bubbles is breathtaking. We were greeted and sat at the balcony table by Scotty. He had our table preset with menus, the door open and was absolutely spectacular. Danielle was starving when we got there after a big day in RMNP, and Scotty recommended the corn fritters. Being from Amish country I was skeptical at best but went with his recommendation. They were incredible. I ordered the lamb porterhouse and she the parmesan crusted chicken breast. The lamb was cooked to perfection and the presentation of both dishes were literally 5 star. I actually sent a tip back for the kitchen it was so friggin good! If you want to experience old Colorado charm with literally the best meal I've ever had the pleasure to eat then by all means make a reservation and experience this for yourself! I've told everyone I know to patronize this place and mark my words I will travel 1900 miles to eat here again!

Beautiful setting and atmosphere. Wonderfully attentive waiter whom gave great recommendation and even inquired with chef what we could change up! Sweet corn fritters with shaved parmesan and green goddess sauce. Excellent! Filet and mashed potatoes with melted Gorgonzola butter. Perfection! Bartender was exceptional and we'll appreciated. I'm sorry I can't remember our waiters name but we were there Thursday night, Dec 28th 2017, celebrating my fiancee's birthday and we absolutely appreciated every extra care you took for us to make the night special!
