Management jumped to the task to make it right for the customer. Gotta love a local proprietor in same location over 100 years yet they still run it like a new hungry business working to earn your business. We will be here all week and plan to order great food every day.
So many goodies and their house prepared meats, baked goods, and soups are all delicious. The steak and cheese sub is the best ever, elevated with specially cured steak.
Way better than it needs to be. They smoke their own meats!!! Some of the best brisket I've had, and I don't mean "for the cape" I mean best period. I generally find cape food underwhelming and overpriced. The pizza and subs are great, but I don't need to eat that the whole time. The only thing that's criminal is that they don't have a tip jar at the deli counter. Management, please put a tip jar. So many places have a tip option that should not be there, but these people deserve it. It's like an ant's nest and everyone is working hard and constantly.
As my partner said, "Thanks for bringing me to heaven." Fabulous baked goods, cheese, and meats they cure on site. We had the highest quality delicious Philly cheese steak I ever had. The house-made carrot raisin muffin and pumpkin bread were also moist and delicious. They have pastries from Montilios and Maison Villate. A nice selection of wines, an array of soups and sandwiches pizza, and some essential staples. Some people made it through the pandemic with most of their food from here. They have wings and ribs on football game days, and house-cured barbecue nights in the summer. What's not to like?
