I️ absolutely love this place! I️ am very picky and props to our waiter Dillan and the Manager Ashton for exceeding all of my and my friends expectations!!!! They are phenomenal! Even moved us to a table so we could see the game! Highly recommend this place!

Went on my lunch break and had a great experience! The food was delivered fast and the drinks were amazing! My friend tried a drink and didn’t like the taste and the manager was happy to find the drink that should like! Great customer service! Definitely will be coming back again!

Very impressed by the effort put into making this a quality meal! Everything was fresh from the salsa to the inhouse shredded cheese. I was very pleased and I'm not sure that I can go back to the usual Mexican restaurants after today. I had the steak fajitas with extra rice. I enjoyed every bite. The portions are perfect and the price point is spot on.
I was driven to this restaurant by a margarita that I recieved at the Best of Jackson 2020. I knew it didn't taste like most margaritas. I learned why today. The limes are squeezed fresh, they dont use the usual sweet and sour mix that you get at other restaurants and they also dont use the granulated sugar. They use agave as a sweetener. It isnt overpowered by sweetness.
Courtney the bartender was our waiter. He did an amazing job of explaining specials, servicing our table, and making delicious margaritas. I had the TiTorita... talking about flavor😋! I hope you get to have a great foodie experience with Courtney. He's Awesome!
Looking forward to trying the Mexican street corn when I return.
Update 10/19/2019 out on Saturday with my wife stop at S,M,R for lunch and it was outstanding our waiter Manny was on top he took our order and it was spot on and Thanks for a awesome lunch Update 12/31/18 We went out shopping and got hungry and stop at Sombra Mexican restaurant and had a great meal and super serve and Mary Catherine was our waitress and she was on top made our stay awesome Happy New Year

I'm not trying to preach, but all I can say about this place is Oh my God! The food is out of this world great. The texture of the steak in the steak quesadillas is nothing short of amazing. I'm not just saying that because I ordered another one while I write this review. The people are upbeat and will make sure you feel right at home , especially Stephen Courtney Grant. He's an awesome waiter. The atmosphere is very soothing. The nochos here are the best nochos I've ever had in life so far. Yall gotta come check this place out. I like the Terminator because I'll be Back.
Came to this restaurant on evening of 1-11-2019. Upon arrival noticed they were very busy. Our wait was very minimal. Once seated the service was outstanding. From the waiter who was very nice and knowledgeable to the guy that I think was the manager that came by and spoke with our table, and to the food that was very good, we were impressed. As someone who works in the service industry I couldn't help but notice how your staff was working hard to take care of the guests, even at such a busy time on a Friday night. Even saw the manager who spoke to us helping clean dishes off tables. I highly recommend the steak fajitas. Fresh and tasty, unlike the thin and over-cooked meat we've had at other mexican restaurants. Will return soon.
This place definitely stands out in the area. I have found in most Mexican food serving restaurants to all be about the same. You have been to one, you have been to all. However, Sombra has a totally different flavor and vibe. The chips are always fresh and crisp, the salsa tastes extremely fresh and has the perfect amount of heat. The skillet queso is unbelievable. I have to be careful because I can easily polish off three bowls by myself. The re-fried beans have a smoky flavor to them. The marinated pork tacos are mouth watering. The pork is so tender and flavorful. My husband even loves them and he never eats pork. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The tables, floors, and restrooms are clean. This is actually the only place we go now for Mexican Food.
