Excellent service from hostess to wait staff. Our waitress, Caitlyn, Timed our meal just right. The wild mushroom soup was tasty and delicious, hot and full of mushrooms. The Hawaiian ribs were so good and a nice appetizer portion. The duck breast was exquisite with plantains and beans cooked just right. We also enjoyed the lemon mascarpone cake. Other good appetizers and entrees for us to try next time.
This is a new restaurant in a new shopping area built near the University. It's a higher end establishment and prices are reflective of that. The decor is modern and nicely done but the size of the interior makes it feel like it was set up as a set for a movie.
The menu has a nice mix of dishes that should appeal to most diners. The BLT salad and the mushroom bisque were both exceptional. The scallop entree was very good and the hoisin glazed pork chop was a large cut and was very flavorful. The shrimp fried rice that it came with was soaked in the marinade of the pork and lacked that typical fried rice feel and taste. Not a big deal, but worth noting if the fried rice is what caught your eye.
Dessert was a mixed experience. The pineapple upside down cake was great but the blueberry cobbler was under cooked and doughy.
The staff were stellar. Attentive without hovering, personable and very helpful with menu recommendations. There is a full bar, and an outside dining area. Online reservations are available which is nice and there is plenty of parking.
Dinner for two was approx $120 pre tip with no alcohol. Worth a visit for a special night out.
Very good dining experience. We had a party of 8 and service was top notch. Everyone enjoyed their dish. Between the 8 of us, we had 6 different entrees. So we enjoyed a nice cross section of the menu. The restaurant has a upscale decor.
Just returned home after having a wonderful dinner at KC American Bistro in Estero.
We had a table of 5 and everyone loved their dinner. I had grouper, the BEST grouper that I ever had. The rest of the table enjoyed their orders, though different than mine, loved it as much as I did.
Will definitely be back and we highly recommend this upscale, yet casual restaurant.
We’ve been twice now and both times the food was excellent and the service was great. The atmosphere is a little stark but it’s clean and well laid out. If you’re looking for upscale dinning in Estero (which is hard to find) this is a great spot to try. Also nice wine selection.
