I recently had the pleasure of visiting the "Cease and Desist" bar in Friday Harbor, and let me tell you, it was an experience like no other! I was greeted by Phil, who had a smile so bright, it could guide ships to shore. Then there was Mike, who, bless his heart, misled me about the nature of how islands are. I mean, who knew they were actually connected to the ocean floor? I thought they just floated around!
The night was filled with laughter, thanks to Josiah's never-ending supply of dad jokes, and Max's dance moves that can only be described as "unique." And let's not forget Julio, who managed to mix a cocktail that tasted exactly like my confusion about geography.
Now, I must mention my only disappointment of the night: the whales. I was promised whales, and there were none to be seen. I'm pretty sure it's Mike's fault. He probably scared them away with his wild theories about islands.
All in all, I'm giving this place five stars because it's in a league of its own. If you're looking for a night filled with laughter, questionable dance moves, and a geography lesson you didn't know you needed, "Cease and Desist" is the place to be. Just don't ask Mike about the whales.
Good beer selection, nice indoor and outdoor casual seating. Ask bar tender can taste two, got it, i picked one for a nice afternoon. Fantastic! fyi, no minors allowed and no food served. Good mix of music
Excellent little spot along the water! My husband and I sat here with our dogs, which was great. Service was so friendly and we really appreciated the precautions the business is taking during COVID-19 to keep customers + employees safe. Relaxed place, awesome view, great beer and even ordered takeout to eat here. Highly recommend to anyone traveling with their dog and looking for a good place to hang.
