This is a great place to hang out with friends, indoors and out. Live music now and then is great.
The food is phenomenal! House made bratwurst is out of this world, made authentic and huge, grilled to perfection. House made hot mustard is perfect, have a cool drink handy though.
Shepherds pie and Mac and cheese are must haves!
Everybody working there has a great vibe and attitude. I thought the prices could be a little lower but you get your money's worth.

Good food. Brats and soft pretzel with cheese is excellent. Great beer selection with unique selection. Contrary to the post above we found prices very reasonable. Good service. Enjoyed our night.
All of the German food was awesome! Chicken sandwich was nothing exciting. Prices were reasonable, not cheap but ok for good food. Enjoyed it!
Kid friendly food and waitstaff. Besides Philly Cheesesteak and yummy homemade fries, they have bacon crusted mac and cheese, burgers, chicken tenders, big Germanesque pretzel (more like a giant Auntie Annies) and all sorts of Brats. Can sit inside or out. Patio heaters and a fire pit make it warm even on a cool day like today.
Salad is average, nothing special. The vinaigrette is excellent though. Worth a stop in for a craft beer and view of the strand.
What a great find! The owner & staff are very friendly and knowledgable and the atmosphere is perfect for dinner, lunch or a few drinks with friends. Don't miss this fun bar & grill!
Fun on Strand. Great atmosphere and super cold beer. Great fine while walking down Strand. all the food is hand made daily, so nothing is frozen. Owner was great and the service was fast, a must do when in Galveston.
Went there on a Thursday night, and the 5 of us ended up playing Bingo. We had an excellent time. Lots of fun and great staff. Food and drinks are good also.

This place located in the historic strand district was amazing! Great old brick building with 3 levels, ice cold beer and the food didn’t disappoint! We ordered the grilled chicken burger and mushroom burger with waffle and regular fries. The brioche bun and perfectly season patty was nicely cooked and the chicken burger was juicy and just the right amount of seasoning. Paired well with the fries. High recommend this place!
Michelle was awesome, you guys need to change ur qr code feedback system because my phone scanned the “not happy” qr code but we were very happy.
I recommend you have one qr code and then direct the user to “hapoy vs not happy”, and further, just consolidate the feedback experience to account for constructive criticism, poor service, great service, and everything in between.
Food was great, Michelle is charming and a great host, 5/5 will be back again!
The food was pretty dang good, I got the Irish nachos & my spouse got a habanero elk brat Flat Tony Style. He said the brats really had some good heat & devoured his meal.
Beer selection was good & I liked that we could order 4oz glasses.
Loved the old school vibe of this tavern. The food was excellent. I tried the bratwurst sampler and it was hot. Tender, and full of flavors. They have ample amounts of beers to try and they were all cold and refreshing. Service was super friendly and fast. They were very accommodating with us as we have a handicapped family member.
First time for everything. I had habanero elk plain jane. Hot as hell. I washed it down with a crème ales- saloon door. Smells like cotton candy. The cheese sticks were perfect!
Must stop when in Galveston! We had a great time at the second level bar. Beer selection is great and the brats are a must order. Brats are tasty and the sides are a close tasty match! House made chips and German potato salad were both awesome!
Was at this establishment a couple of weeks ago to meet a friend and share some laughs and beers. Met John, the owner/bartender and he is just awesome. The beers selection is varied and excellent. (Although 3 of my wife’s choices kegs blew while there! Another source for laughs!) The food selection is great as well. And all the services were excellent. If you get a chance to go to Galveston, don’t pass up a chance to sit at the second floor bar and enjoy time with John or Erin, the great beers, and the excellent food and service. You will leave happy!!
Love this place! Always delicious & ideal location on the Strand overlooking the bay. Great staff👍👏🙌 long island ice tea specials $4 & sauerkraut balls were so yum. Also the special was a combo burger/beauty with the works excellent. Check it out , when u can & enjoy🥰
Food was priced right and was tasty, I loved the schnitzel with German potato salad. The Warsteiner beer I ordered was cold and great tasting with the natural carbonation. Our server was great.
