We've known the owners of the restaurant for almost as long as this family friendly place has been around. They have always been dedicated to offering authentic fare, but they do include some Tex-Mex and American choices on their menu as well. Their enchiladas are some of the best and most authentically Mexican in town, and their fajitas and meats are well-seasoned and don't taste like commercial marinades (as I've found in other restaurants in town.) Overall, this restaurant is not typical of Tex-Mex style choices found in this area, so at this place you won't find all your "Mexican" food smothered in processed cheese or canned sauces. (In other words, the cheese goes where cheese is supposed to go, by Mexican standards.) The staff is always friendly, but can sometimes be slow, especially on busier mornings or evenings. If a leisurely experience is not your thing, then speak up and let them know you are in a hurry, and they will oblige with courtesy. For the full experience, head there on a night when the Mariachis are performing. It's a great place to watch big soccer matches over tacos and margaritas, but skip the queso, which is probably the weakest item on the menu. Recommended dishes: For something different- Carne Asada w/ Nopales (or Bistec Jalisco, if you must have the cheese); ALL the Soups, especially the spicy Shrimp soup served only on Fridays; and the Tacos de Bistec al Carbon served on soft corn tortillas with pico de gallo. Make sure to try the Horchata and have an ice cold paleta for dessert.

These people treat us like family, every single time we go there. Their Caldo de Res is my favorite, but each and every thing I have ever had there is absolutely delicious! Almost every time we go here (usually a couple times a month) the owner is there greeting customers, and even waiting tables if necessary.

Only went for breakfast tacos, but they were pretty good. Bacon and egg and chorizo were tasty and hearty. The salsa was very tomato forward, too much so in my opinion. The decor was welcoming, the place was fully staffed with nice and helpful people, and the dining area was full of patrons, especially for 9a on a Thursday.

Decent food, good happy hour prices. Please ignore the weird reviews that are obviously from an angry ex employee. Lots of people in the restaurant when we were there, all treated in a familiar manner with hugs and updates on life. Very comfortable place.

Enjoyed our day after Christmas morning breakfast here for the first time. I had the omelet plate with sausage and she had the chorimigas plate. Both of them were delicious. The restaurant was fairly busy with a quick turnaround, all without people being rushed. We'll definitely be back.
