Well I have to say, Thank you! My sisters and I thoroughly enjoyed our amazing lunch! We felt like we were at home! Everyone was so welcoming, friendly, attentive and took such good care of us; anticipating our needs. The food was outstanding, enormous servings and so delicious. We wanted to order everything on the menu because everything looked so good when the plates went by our table. I started with the chowder which was filled with fish so creamy and delicious. The fried clams and fried scallops were perfectly cooked, yummy! My sister had the lobster pie, it was so fresh and looked like it was the size of two pies you get at another restaurant; wow so much lobster! Wished we lived closer, we will definitely return and recommend!
What a fantastic meal! First, I had the friendliest fastest service right when I walked in the door. I ordered the “cup” of clam chowder. It was a bowl where I come from and it was by far the best chowder I’ve ever eaten! Then I ordered my very first “lobsta” roll. It was HUGE. I bet there was 3/4 of a pound of lobster in it. The French fries were perfect. Needless to say I told most of it back to my hotel and enjoyed it for dinner also. Thanks to my server (I can’t remember her name blonde sweet gal with a giant smile) you were fantastic! I highly recommend!!
Nice place for lunch. Food was generally good, although the crab sandwich needed something. Kind of bland. The lobster roll and grilled octopus were really good though, and of course the chowder was excellent.
Friendly and pretty fast service, especially considering we were there at the lunch rush.
Spectacular! Fresh amazing seafood! Scallops, clams, calamari and homemade onion rings were perfection. Nice side of 🍋.You can tell their frying oil is changed frequently. Fresh. Amazing clam chowder! Generous portions and high quality.. Nina was amazing and gorgeous 🔥 Comfortable cozy atmosphere..

We were visiting The Hammond Castle Museum and decided to get some food after. We found this place randomly. The place is not big, we were waiting for 15 minutes to get inside . We took a table for 4 people. Ordered 2 Seafood marinara( thanks God we asked how big is that? Because we were going to order 3 for 3 people) and kids menu. We were waiting for our food maximum 15 minutes. And OMG !!! Plates were huge, full of delicious seafood. Hamburger for my nephew was so big, he couldn’t finish it 😁. They do not serve alcohol. But you can bring it with you 😉. So, for our order we paid $100 something.
Super satisfied with this place, stuff and foooood.

The Causeway is the standard for what all restaurants should be!
The level of service, the quality of the food, the atmosphere and the prices are second to none! We took 20 people here for a special occasion. I contacted them ahead about a reservation - they never do reservations but said they would for our party. We arrived to complete chaos - par for the course at this spot. There were people lined up and the wait was almost 2 hours for lunch. As promised they got our table seated all together with only a 15 min wait! I was already impressed - the day only got better as the waitress took orders, served food, brought drinks, cleaned plates and didn’t miss a beat! She was operating at another level - helping make our special occasion even better! The menu is extensive and overwhelming - there was also a large daily special menu. We had a large party and the tiny kitchen and small staff were able to bring out everyone’s food at the same time and all piping hot and fresh. The seafood chowder was incredible. The best I have ever had - piled full of fish and full of flavor. I ordered the prime rib and a pair of lobsters off the specials menu for my meal. I was served two full fresh lobsters and what I think was an entire prime rib. The portion was gigantic. The meat was cooked a bit more than I would have liked but the taste was great. The lobsters and drawn butter were delicious! Others in our party got fried clams, seafood bake, and steamed clams. The stand out items however were the mussels (the sauce is incredible and i wanted to drink it with a straw!) and the seafood marinara. Hands down one of the best entrees I have ever tasted at a seafood restaurant. The portion was giant, the presentation was beautiful and the flavors were like perfection in your mouth!
I cannot remark any more on what a fantastic restaurant The Causeway has become. It is a staple of the northeast. A benchmark for the roadside seafood stop!

There is nothing here you won't like. The food is amazing, and you get way more than you pay for. Be prepared to take home leftovers. The food is cooked to perfection, and it doesn't take long, no matter how busy they are. They are usually busy, but the wait time to be seated aren't bad. Love this place.
The food is really good and affortable prices but the containers to take the leftovers are not good quality because when I got home the bottom was so soft because the liquid of the dish was absorbed by the container. I suggest another biodegradable containers that doesn't affect the food. Other than that, we had a good experience.
Spot on for a classic New England seafood diner. Favorite of the locals. Rewarding to those that don't judge by the cover. Super hearty portions, even outdoes a growing boys appetite, and priced right. Make room in the car for the leftovers.
Stopped in for lunch on a Sunday. Feels like a place locals go; no frills, just good food and good service. We got cups of clam and fish chowder. Tasted great and portions were very generous. The fish chowder had more fish in it than I've ever seen! And the clam chowder was the perfect consistency—you know it's right when the oyster crackers just sit on top. Looking forward to visiting again.
For my birthday The causeway supplied delicious trays and trays of chicken parmigiana, ziti with meat sauce, stuffed shells, sausage and meatballs, salad and garlic bread all cooked to perfection. Enjoyed by 30 dear friends and family. Plenty for all. Thank You
Fish soup was really good. I would recommend to try it. Calamari and octopus were also delicious, though the smoke taste of octopus transferred to salad. I did not enjoy the fish. Its taste was dull for me but it is more a personal taste. The portions were huge and price was good.
