We celebrated our anniversary here this evening and it was an amazing experience. From the ease of the valet parking ($5 but worth it!)to the hostess staff seating us in an excellent spot near the fireplace, we were very impressed from the start.
Our server was in training but she did an excellent job. Her name was Meander and she was being trained by Steven.
Okay...so the food is off the charts incredible. The cheddar biscuits absolutely blow the red lobster's out of the water! We were able to enjoy the happy hour ones that were complimentary and we ordered another three because they were so good.
Their Caesar salad was the BEST I've ever had and I've had quite a few in my lifetime. Plenty to share and my wife had their cashew soup which was very tasty according to her.
I ordered the special pork chop meal and my wife ordered the meatloaf and we both loved our meals. Their mashed potatoes were on point with potato skin which I love.
The staff were very attentive making sure unused plates and glasses were removed from the table to ensure we didn't feel cluttered and the ambiance was perfect with the sounds of smooth jazz coming from the rafters and the smell of burning firewood.
Wr finished our meal with a glass of champagne and their chocolate dessert. I'm not a pudding fan, but this was on another level.
We were very pleased and will definitely return to enjoy other things on their menu. Do yourself a favor and make this a spot to go to if you haven't yet.
Good food, nice atmosphere. They were out of the hanger steak which was the special. Had the halibut instead which was the other special. The halibut wasn't great, tasted a little burnt. The biscuits were good, and the pimento cheese was great.
What’s really important to know about Third & Hollywood:
• Most consistent/best service & hospitality in the Columbus dining scene.
• Always order the artichoke appetizer & the biscuits certainly shouldn’t be excluded.
• The coziest of dining rooms… be prepared to have an extra glass of wine.
Drinks were delicious and very strong! Staff were very nice and didn’t rush us at all. Food was great! We asked them to bring everything in half so we can share. Meatloaf was awesome and chicken was were good too. Burger was ordinary to me. We sat outside and it was very nice.
Their weekend brunch was delicious. Excellent customer service and a wonderful atmosphere. The live jazz band was great to listen to while dining. An outstanding experience. I'll definitely return!
The cocktails are well made and the happy hour deals are nice, but they are expensive!! The iron skillet cheddar biscuits are delicious, but needed more pimento cheese for dipping. If you want a nice ambiance and over priced food it is a very nice restaurant.
I love this restaurant. I dine in usually, but I would order takeout all the time if they would allow written modifications or have better choices for preset modifications. For example, choosing side items with entrees or extra sauce. Sometimes I'll call to let them know the changes, but it's such a pain and typically they don't have the order yet, so it's confusing for the staff and inefficient anyway. I also wish they'd switch up the menu and specials more often. I miss the papperdelle dish and short rib. Adding pastas would be great. I wish management responded to reviews. Who knows if they see these?
