Great atmosphere. Fabulous fried pickles. The best I've eaten. Three of us had fish and chips (good moist and thick fish) and one had the tenderloin "huge" and very very good. Highly recommend dining at the Shallo's. Priced right too.
If you’re looking for awesome comfort food, you’re in the right place. The sandwiches are delicious and the homemade chips and ranch are to die for! Just skip the steamed vegetables; they’re microwaved and very tough.
Loved this place. Had a delicious & huge breaded tenderloin sandwich with their homemade chips which are scrumptious. Many other things are on the menu I want to try so will definitely be returning.
Great food. So many interesting antique items to view. Our server, Jennifer, was exceptional. We’ll definetly be back!
Really good experience. Jon was a great server. Food was great, and that swamp sauce is delicious! Try the homemade chips...they aren't lying...they're delicious.
Went for lunch on a weekday. Not terribly crowded or busy. Service was quick, pleasant, and quite patient as I studied the massive the beer list. Very nice environment. I had the swampburger and fried pickles. The pickles were pretty good (though I would really appreciate an option other than ranch for a dipping sauce....perhaps something horseradish based?) The swampburger was a sizable 1/2 pound burger, standard fare until you get to the swamp sauce, which elevates it to something pretty special. I won't hesitate to return!

This is a great place to come and have a drink and some good food. They have every possible beer you could think of and also a very nice bourbon selection. Their food is very good as well.
I liked this place. Friendly staff. Awesome mix of an old world and modern bar. Pretty cool antiques from past times of Indianapolis. Hundreds of choices of beers to choose from on any given day. Best French Onion Soup in Indy. Good quiet place to get away and watch a game or hang with friends.
Food is always delicious! And the atmosphere is perfect! One of my favorite southside restaurants! We have never had bad service!
