I am on the fence witn Applebee's. In general the franchise needs help. That being said, this place does it great! Kudos to the staff here. Food, service and environment are spot on.

We hadn't been to an Applebee's in well over a year, because the food is always just mediocre and the service usually is horrible. With no more late night dining options in our town we recently had to resort to revisiting our local Applebee's. The menu was pretty good, with lots of options of the usual kind (burgers, chicken, pasta, salads). We ordered the pretzel sticks with cheese dipping sauce (a bit over done but generous with the 2 dipping sauces so that was a plus!) and as and entree I ordered the Loaded Steak Fajita. The steak was a tad tough and would benefit from being cut thinner, lots of veggies but way too many onions. Overall it was decent. My husband got the Whiskey Bacon Burger and said it was quite tasty, with a nice size side of fries (though they could use a bit of seasoning to make them more interesting). For dessert we tried the amazing Apple Fritter, which was the star of the meal in my opinion! Definitely leave room for it!
The highlight of the visit though was our waitress Amanda. Friendly, fast, there when we needed her but not hovering, quick with the refills. We chatted with the manager after our meal and told him to hold on to her! Hopefully we now have a new late night meal option, as long as the current manager and Amanda stay on!
This visit was amazing. I felt safe while dining. Bless everyone that has to wear a mask at work! The waitress was fantastic! She even understood what a plain cheeseburger was! Unfortunately I do not know her name. I hope she knows how awesome she is. I will definitely be coming back!
The service was great tonight. Our server had a wonderful sense of humor, was personable and made sure our drinks were topped off. The steaks were very good; juicy, tender and full of flavor.
Food was delicious and the 2/$22 deal is a good value. Our server was fantastic.
