My son and I found this place on TripAdvisor. In the past, I have not liked vinegar style bbq, but I really liked this vinegar bbq with cole slaw on top. I would go back just for this (and intend to!). Sweet potato pie is REAL, not some fake processed pie. Definitely worth going if you find yourself in the area. Loved how fresh the bun was and how the flavors blended. Good size, more than I could eat. Best ever!

We have been frequenting Wilkes BBQ since they opened. Literally! I used to work in an office in the same building. Never had a bad meal from there. The BBQ is the best, as is the cole slaw and the beans. We have even bought 5 lb tubs of BBQ to give to family members as gifts and to take to work for parties.

This BBQ is well worth the experience. Just like the BBQ we made growing up. The great northern beans are just like the ones we make down home in NC.
