The owner/manager is super nice, and extremely involved. He goes table to table to make sure everything is perfect. A homeless man came in, and he wouldn't take his $5.00, and made sure he was given a hot meal at no charge. The food is absolutely delicious, and freshly homemade.

Roane Street Grill was a jewel of a find. We didn't want to go thru the wait at Cracker Barrel so we ventured down the road and found this place. For a "mom and pop"place it has a very varied menu. My husband had the loaded hot dog which was extremely loaded and I had the grilled grouper which was delicious. They also have a wide variety of deserts. The Hummingbird cake was fantastic!Staff was attentive and very nice, and prices are very reasonable. It is well worth the 3 mile drive off the interstate!!! Will definitely go there again when we are driving through!

A very warm and inviting local eatery with homemade food. The owners came over to talk to us and thanked us for coming. The wait staff was super friendly. I had the catfish (excellent), my husband had the hot roast beef sandwich with mashed potatoes (half). He couldn’t stop raving about it. Just the right amount of food and it was, not warm, but hot! The place was prettily decorated for Christmas. We are going to be back in June and hope to spend time downtown antique shopping.

We stoped in here after a tournament. The bar was great homemade okra, potatoes, shrimp Alfredo. Also tried the wet coconut pie also made there. Everything was really good. The owner a very kind older gentleman was out chit chatting with customers. Definitely would recommend! A True Southern Food Restaurant with Local owners.

Great little find passing through. Don't go by the exterior. Large menu, everything good. Loaded hot dog excellent. Also homemade chicken salad on croissant was delicious.

Myself and my son went there after reading the reviews, we thought it sounded great, but we were mistaken. We both ordered a cheese burger and fries on the lunch menu. Along with two drinks sweet tea and coke. Needless to say the burgers had zero flavor and I was charged for mayo?? While we were there the waitress was very nice but she started coughing and then she proceeded to go spit in the trash can in front of the entire restaurant. She stated I can't help if something comes up. This was extremely nasty and she didn't wash her hands until another couple tasked her to. The only positive thing I can say about this place would be that the fries are really good and thats it. I would not recommend this place at least not the burgers. Just go to McDonald's.

Great first visit after Pirate Fest in May 2022. A “meat and three” kind of vibe, TONS of options and wow the list and view of the desserts! Kind attentive staff and everyone was so nice.
