This may be our new "favorite" local restaurant! We dined with another couple, and they feel the same! Wonderful food, wine, and beer, at a great price! The service was good, even though it was very busy! As a bonus, the live music was fabulous! I realize I am posting this at the risk of not being able to get a table on our next visit!

Food was bountiful and very tasty, service was as good as it could be under the circumstances (more on this below) and the entertainment was tasteful with volume at a nice level. Wine also poured generously. What kept me from giving Cask and Wine 5 stars? One waitress trying to take care of 28 guests. She performed valiantly but something has to be done to get more help. Of course, every restaurant in town is looking for people, but our server had to open wine, make cocktails, as well as take orders and serve food. Too much, management and owners.

Cask and Wine is a super delicious lunch, dinner and brunch restaurant in downtown Hendersonville - right next door to the Appalachian Pinball Museum. Do not accidentally go to the ‘Cask and Vine’ in Derry, NH. I’m assuming it’s of no relation, and you’ll probably be wondering why the #%*^ it took you 14 hours to get to dinner. So anyway - it was my fathers birthday, and the rents were kind enough to invite me to tag along for the festivities. Cask and Wine On Main is relatively new - only a few months old - and features a fresh new interior that has a kinda ‘antique made new possibly haunted’ feel to it with dark walls, checkered tile flooring, a super fancy tin ceiling, and tasteful pictures of *semi* naked ladies. Oh la la. Each table had a solitaire rose which was extremely adorable. The rose on our table was mid-dying so my mother decided to wander around the restaurant to the other tables looking for another rose that she liked better that “wasn’t dead” while I shouted at her that I “liked dead things, leave the dead rose!” I assuming at this point in time we’re all never allowed back to Cask and Wine. Anyway, there’s lots of cocktails to choose from, and a full bar - if you prefer your libations straight up. They also have a large selection of wine, local beer and cider. I ordered a mock-tail and asked the server to surprise me with her own creation, if she didn’t mind. She made me something with blackberries and it was *omg* so delish! There’s plenty of food to choose from, and the chef utilizes fresh, local, and seasonal ingredients that incorporate a taste of the south. Take your pick from pub fare, entree plates, salads and a plethora of sides. Not to mention a super delish brunch menu on Sunday’s from 11-3. For my entree, I ordered the Atlantic Salmon, that came with a side salad. The salad came out first and was pretty large for just a side salad, very fresh with nom nom greens, onions, cheese and tomatoes, and the perfect amount of honey mustard dressing -on the side. There’s other options for salad dressing if you’re a complete psychopath that doesn’t like honey mustard. My Salmon came not long after I was finished with my salad, and was hot and fresh. It came with a *kinda crunchy but not too crunchy* roll that didn’t even need butter - because it was coated in some magical butter oil concoction and toasted to perfection, already. The salmon itself was topped with a delightful melody of feta cheese, tomatoes, onions, cucumbers, mushrooms. The side of asparagus was thick, fresh and lightly seasoned. Cask and Wine On Main is most definitely on my list of favorite restaurants in Hendersonville. My plan is to uber to downtown Hendo for brunch one day soon and try their eggs Benedict made with Rosemary Holandaise.

Everyone at our table had an excellent meal. The service was great. The steak burger was very good. And also the salmon tacos were great.
