Poke To Your Taste

This is one of the best local spots to eat with very reasonable prices. The only issue is parking, very small 8 car lot on the corner of two busy roads, so use caution when parking and leaving. They have the best Kalua pork nachos and crab 🦀 potato 🥔 salad 🥗. Poke to your Taste is our go to place. Note: this is not a sit down restaurant, it's grab and go. Go to the beach and watch the waves as you enjoy your meal, then be sad you finished it and want more. Don't forget to try the garlic butter shrimp 🦐!

This place is a must try. You cannot beat the quality of the food for the price. I’m not going to lie, my husband and I walked in timid and not knowing how to order etc. One of the staff members recognized this and took the time to guide us through the ordering process and all the options for a delicious poke bowl. It was incredibly fresh and delicious. Give it a shot and if you’re intimidated like we were just ask for help. They will make it easy for you. Parking is rough, but well worth the spot jockeying to get some incredible food.

So happy we stopped here :) you can build your own bowl with toppings that they’re preparing as you make your bowl — seriously we kept getting handed onion & garlic from the kitchen to put on top the already perfect poké & tako. Excellent portion to share for my husband & I. This whole thing was $9. Super reasonably priced & super ono. Can’t wait to come back!!

I googled a poke place for my boyfriend and I to grab some Poke on our way out of town from Hilo and stumbled upon Poke To Your Taste. 10/10 recommend going!! It is a no frills place but very reasonably priced and so yummy! I have arrived back home on the mainland now and all I can think about is this place and how I wish there was one here. They give you the plate of fish and then you can customize by putting your own toppings on. We loved this place and hope to make another trip back to Hilo to eat it again!!

Food: fresh, add your own toppings and condiments, not too salty, delicious. Big portions Ambiance: no frills, casual, quick stop-like Service: extremely friendly, nice, quick Bottom Line: don’t let the exterior deter you from this local-feeling gem. Come here for easy, filling fare that won’t disappoint.
