We stopped here after going on a sunset cruise in the marina. There was live music playing that called us in. Lots of people, but they were doing a great job keeping up helping everyone. A storm moved in and cleared people out. We had a safe, dry spot so we stayed out on the deck, enjoyed our margaritas, dinner and watched the storm roll through. Great location, great service and great food! Guacamole was fabulous!
Great food and atmosphere. The live music was the perfect touch. The flour tortilla chips for the queso was different and so tasty! Great portions! Get the sizzling fajitas to share.
Very good chips and salsa! The entrees were also quite good. I ordered the cheese enchiladas, which tasted great. My boyfriend had the chicken nachos, which he said were also quite good, if maybe a little dry. But what I noticed most about this place was the fair prices. Many places in Hilton Head seem quite overpriced because they already have you on the island and most people don’t want to drive all the way to the mainland to eat, but not this restaurant. We received generous portions of tasty food for much less than many restaurants in the area. I would return to San Miguel’s.
Great atmosphere. We sat outside and there was live music! Salsa was chunky and pretty good, not spicy at all though. Arroz con pollo was incredible. Fish tacos were awesome! I would for sure come back!
Hazel was our server and was absolutely amazing. Only visiting on vacation and the food was awesome. Nachos, no.7 two tacos and the little one thoroughly enjoyed a burger with fries. I even bought a couple shirts. Highly recommend if you are visiting the area.
The food was amazing. I could have made a meal out of the salsa and chips. I had the Arroz Con Pollo as my meal, delicious chicken fajitas over rice with cheese. Service was excellent, and they made a pretty good margarita!
Our visit to San Miguel’s Mexican in Hilton Head Island was pretty nice. The view of the marina was a great backdrop for a chill and rainy day.
We started with the Sopa Azteca, and it was a comforting choice, hitting the spot.
But the real winner was the Shrimp Quesadilla. It had some good-sized shrimp, and the flavors were spot on. Nothing too fancy, just really tasty.
The ambiance was relaxed, and the marina view made it all the better.
The staff was friendly and attentive, which was a plus.
In a nutshell, San Miguel’s Mexican is worth a visit if you’re in Hilton Head Island and craving Mexican flavors with a nice view. It made our rainy day pretty enjoyable without any fuss.
I definitely recommend this place. We also got queso to go with our chips and didn't know they were going to bring out another set of chips that were baked and they were very good. The whole family liked the place and the server was awesome! There's also a local cat who comes in to say hi and The kids enjoyed seeing him. The food was great and you can take a nice walk outside on the dock after you eat.
Fun spot, great location right next to the water. We were seated quickly and served promptly. Our waitress was great, very attentive and kind. The food was pipping hot (which is great!) But, our only gripe was the ground beef items were nothing to write home about. The chips and salsa were standard. Would definitely try something else when we return on a future vacation to Hilton Head Island.
Very good! Kid friendly and delicious. Second time there, it doesn't get too crowded too early. Very close to other kid's activities.
