Wow!!! Amazing staff, phenomenon food and excellent atmosphere! Tonight my husband I tired this restaurant for our first time and we’re not disappointed! Not only was the food exceptionally well priced but their steak is some of the best I’ve ever tried! Their strip steak was so tender I could cut it with a spoon!! Our waitress Misty gave some of the best service I’ve received from a food server! She was polite and incredibly knowledgeable about their menu offerings. She was able to make recommendations and went above and beyond our entire meal to make our dining experience exemplary. As if that wasn’t enough to quickly make us become loyal customers, Garrett Denis, the assistant manager, came over and spent quality time with us. He made us feel as though we were VIP clientele and made sure we were receiving nothing less than their very best! It’s rare nowadays to receive true quality service when having a dining experience and everyone at this establishment, from the time we walked in, raised the bar to make our experience memorable. 2920 roadhouse is a hidden gem nestled in Tomball. It’s places like this that uphold Tomball’s values of being the home with a heart. Honest, humble restaurant that delivers superior cuisine with uncompromising quality service and an unparalleled atmosphere! It’s a must try! Believe me when I say you won’t be disappointed!!!!!
Delicious!! We just left having a late night dinner with the whole family. As a party of 5 we were able to try 5 different items on the menu, chicken fried steak, pork chop, brisket grilled cheese, meatloaf, and chicken tenders. The chicken fried steak was perfect, not heavily breaded with the perfect amount of seasoning. The pork chop was like a brontasaurus chop!! Moist, cooked perfectly and delish! Brisket grilled cheese was as decadent it sounds with melty cheese and amazing smoked brisket. The meatloaf was pleasantly different that what you would make at home, it was GRILLED adding a flavorful smokiness that was pleasantly surprising. The chicken finger were cooked perfectly not overdone and dry. Some of the platters were served with these unusual fries that were crunchy yet "potatoey" and soooo addicting. Other plates were served with garlic mashed potatoes, I am not a fan of garlic potatoes but these were just right! The star of the show was definitely the chorizo cream gravy!! It was a strange but amazingly delicious addition..everyone need to try it!! We also had 2 desserts the bread pudding and chocolate cake. The bread pudding had delicious flavor but was overly eggy, making it too soft and seemingly underdone. The chocolate cake was devine!! Not too heavy with a mousse layer that lightened up.
We had the spinach artichoke dip for an appetizer....it was the only disappoint. We received a bowl of queso with 1 small piece of artichoke in it, no spinach at all. The chips were stale, cheap thick generic ball park chips..not a fan. We did mention it to our server who apologized and offered to bring out another appetizer, but we declined.
All in all we would definitely be back...often. The food was THAT good.
I was impressed upon entering. The staff was great and even spoke to the owner. We were there celebrating sibling birthdays. Ten people total. Our waitress was excellent and I thought the food was really good. We were there on a Sunday so they were having brunch. You could order from the brunch menu or lunch menu. I had the Bumgartner Burger with fries. I will return.
