We have been going to Bayou Delight Restaurant for many years. We have always loved the food and as a bonus they have live Cajun Music on Friday and Saturday nights. We have celebrated many family birthdays and anniversaries over there. Everyone there is like one big family. �
I wanted to taste new Orleans and they served it up on a platter! We are on our honeymoon and we are so blessed.

Best fried chicken in Tri-parish area!
The fried chicken and the boudin balls were the standout items our group had and I'd go back for that crispy fried chicken!! I really loved it! The po' boy (burger) was pretty basic; however, you get not one but two burgers, so it's a good choice for hungry folks.
Fried chicken was juicy inside, crispy outside and great flavor. Oyster po boy was flavorful. Get the frog legs, juicy and plenty of meat.

Delightful!. We arrived on a Friday evening. We are new to the area, as my husband is a USCG man, and we will be residing in Louisiana (Houma) very soon.....so this was our first ever Louisiana dining experience. I walked in, and was greeted by an older gentleman who said to quickly bring my kids out back to see the little alligator in the water. It was so fun to see the gator! Once back inside, the ambiance and patrons were so charming! Some cutie pie elderly fellow was singing karaoke and my husband and I thought it was recorded, he was so good! I fell in love with all of the darling seniors that were "out on the town" of a Friday evening. They were eating the tasty vittles and dancing together. My youngest son ordered the Alligator bites, I ordered a cajun dish over rice that was a red sauce, crab, oysters and shrimp that was really yummy. My husband and son ordered the Po'boy's (white fish)....maybe grouper. I had a bite, and it was REALLY good. I couldn't stop smiling, just from sheer enjoyment of the feeling that I had found somewhere that I didn't think existed in this world any longer. I honestly felt like I was "home". (I've been living in south Florida, and I guarantee, it's mostly city-slickers down there!) The waitresses and staff were very very sweet folks, and the service was excellent. I can't wait to return, so that I can enjoy the Bayou Delight once again. It is a very special place to me...
YUM-E!. Service is worth the wait! And with the good ole-boy/Cajun family atmosphere, your eyes can't get a look at all the wall deco before the food arrives, anyway. And the food is so good! Rich, but not too heavy.

Restaurant look clean. Bathroom was in working order and had all needed supplies.
We arrived after the lunch rush so the dinner was nice for us to have the full attention of the waitress.
The waitress was very helpful and friendly. We received our drinks, extra napkins, drinking straws, salt & pepper, etc. right away.
Our appetizer came out fast. The onion rings had a great taste but were fried a little hard for my taste.
Our meal came out fast also. I had fried shrimp dressed on a bun and was very pleased. The shrimp were fried much softer than the onion rings and I even got grilled onions on my sandwich.
My sweet heart ordered fried gizzards with fries and was also pleased with his decision. The basket was really full of chicken gizzards.
Time to pay and I asked about a military discount and was told that they only offer on certain times of the year.
Our bill really wasn't that bad in cost.
We also bought some homemade peanut butter fudge to take to a friend at her workplace.
So all in all we will return.

This place is great. We had a large group come in and they were very accommodating. Food came out and was right for as big of group we had. The atmosphere fits the culture and community where it is located. Poboys were stuffed and seasoning all around was good.
Worked there, best chicken voted number one in area.
Great place for seafood. Lot more on menu then the website has. Also music on certain nites
