All I can say is wow! The food was delicious. We had blue crab, snow crab, boiled shrimp, oysters on the half shell, crawfish, muscles, fried calamari, shrimp tempura, quail, duck, baked oysters with a delicious sauce, many types of sushi that we had never seen before each with their own sauce. There were barbecue ribs and short ribs that fell off the bone they were so tender. We went on a Saturday night. I think the baked oysters are only on Saturday night. The dinner buffet opens at 5:30 p.m. the service was great, and the dessert bar was very tempting. All for $30 per person.
Only place I will ever eat a “Sushi buffet” !
This place has real quality sushi and it’s fresh. The sushi chefs are behind the sushi bar and will make you hand rolls upon request.
The bonus part of Kirin is there is also a full Japanese food buffet here that is great.
Been here forever and the same ladies run this restaurant.

Second time we visited. We were seated near the sushi bar so it is a bit cramped given the seating arrangement and dinner time. There was no menu at the table so we all assumed any drink aside from water cost extra. The waitress was reasonably good with clearing out dirty plates so we managed through our dinner at the small table. We were offered ice cream twice but since we didn't see it out in the open, we again assumed it would cost extra. We only learnt later dinner comes with ice cream. A pity but I understand the decision to not leave that item out in the open. Definitely recommended the red bean soup and beef broth, just not the udon.
