I normally order Domino's because of their gluten free pizza. When I discovered that Hungry Howie's also had GF pizza at a much cheaper price, I just had to give it a try. I was very impressed and Hungry Howie's will now be my first option. The pizza was so good, cheaper than Domino's AND was eligible for flavored crust (my 14 yr old son even tasted it and said it was pretty good)! My husband and kids enjoyed their non gluten free pizza's too. We obviously had a very good experience and will continue to be customers in the future.
Best pizza in town hands down. And they even deliver! I've ordered from them a few times now and every single person I've spoken to has been extremely friendly and helpful. I'll definitely be ordering again and telling my family about this place.
Great experience and amazing pizza! Placed my order for 3 pizzas and a cheese bread at 1:45pm for requested pickup at 2:30pm. Upon walking in I was greeted at the door and my pizza was hot and ready waiting for pickup. Would recommend to anyone looking for the best pizza in Jacksonville.
I'm from MI where there is a Hungry Howies minutes from my parents house. I suffered in Jacksonville for many years without Hungry Howies. Then Hungry Howies on Gum Branch opened up, but they didn't have green olives. My sister and I called several times requesting green olives... and not too long after calling they started to offer green olives as a topping . I order pizza from here once, almost every week. My orders are always correct, staff is always pleasant and willing to help, the area is clean and convenient and of course my pizza, with green olives and cajun crust, is always amazing. I've never had a bad experience.
Fisher Law Firm would like to give a huge thank you to Hungry Howies for hooking us up quickly with some fuel for our busy day!! Excellent job!!
Great pizza and friendly service at a pretty good price. The flavored crust is a nice treat and they have a variety of good-looking options on the menu beyond pizza. I haven’t tried the gluten-free crust, but it’s nice to know that it exists (may have a trace of gluten as the menu says it’s not intended for those with Celiac disease). Salads, wings, bread, and desserts available.
Pizzas were full of delicious toppings and fresh ingredients. I like the fact they offer green olives, not many places offer this. I tried half onion and half ranch seasoning on my pizza. My son got half butter cheese half garlic herb. The flavors were definitely a delightful addition to the wonderfully cooked crust. Next visit, I'm going to try the wings and cinnamon dessert.
We did take out. Pizza was very good. Love the options. Stuffed crust with Cajun was fantastic.
I've had stuffed crust before but this was superior. (Mostly Pizza hut though)
1 x large, 1 large pizza, large Greek salad, bread sticks, 16 wings (Asian and original). All for $72 something including tax before tip.
They said it would take 80 minutes for delivery so I guess this place is super popular. I'm from out of town. I'd recommend calling earlier.

My favorite pizza around. The crust is always the best, love how u can make it any flavor u want. The ppl are pleasant too. Love Howies, #1
@Crystal Morris does a great job at what she does there, stop in & say Hi!!!
Literally the best Gluten Free Pizza ever!!!
I've gone to fancy pizza joints and had GF pizza, but never have I had a GF pizza as good as Hungry Howies. Their crust is so fluffy and it feels almost like real pizza dough 😍
(Warning ⚠️ my wife is a pretty sensitive Celiac, and if we eat there more than once in a week, she starts to get kinda sick feeling, but the cross contamination doesn't seem to be overwhelming)
