I eat here at least once a month or so and always have great food and service. I usually order the fried shrimp special, shrimp are always cooked perfectly!

Sam's is situated in a strip mall with a large grocery store chain. It's a small looking nondescript restaurant but DO NOT allow that to fool you! I was pleasantly greeted immediately upon entering and taken to a large six-place booth. I arrived a bit after 5 pm on a Tuesday evening, and it wasn't too crowded. By the time I left an hour later, the place was hopping. I ordered the dinner salmon with a baked potato and green beans. My server brought a sour cream and seafood dip with crackers. It was very good. I was very surprised at the portion size of the salmon, two large cross-cut sections, perfectly cooked and not over seasoned. The green beans had large chunks of bacon, and the baked potato was too big to eat all of it. Between the portion size and cost, Sam's is a great value! The food was fantastic, and my server was equally fantastic! Sam's will be on my MUST VISIT, whenever I'm in town.

revised 1-1-23 same great service and food 9-4-22 Revisited and the good was superb along with the service! Tried the soup and the crab legs; it did not disappoint! TASTY! Usually we go here because my dad really enjoys this place. The food is usually fine but the service is typically slow (including getting the drinks, drink refills, and checking on the table) and our table is typically slow to be cleared or isn't cleared till the end, so normally I would rate 3 stars and only really go because my dad like seafood. But today was a pleasant experience so that I was compelled enough to post a review. The food was all delicious but also our waitress Christina was THE BOMB! She was friendly, took care of us, and cleared out table quickly when we finished plates! She's really great, I can't say that enough! We got stuffed mushrooms and calamari fries for appetizers. The stuffed mushrooms were good, cheesy, with some seafood flavor and the calamari was crispy on the outside and the actual calamari was soft (mom was thinking it was cuttlefish) but it was really good! I enjoyed my cup of clam chowder (a good ratio of clams and potatoes) and cole slaw (had a good texture and flavor). My dad loves their catfish and today it seemed more plentiful than usual and looked delicious. Mom and I got the Plenty for One (which is plenty for the both of us). The green beans were typical but good. I ordered the cheese grits but mom wasn't sure if there was cheese, but I enjoyed them (I'm not usually a fan of grits). They were really soft and buttery. (We also ordered fried okra but I was too full from everything else.) We were also able to get drinks to go. Good experience this time

I had lunch with my family. Every time we go, the food is always great and the service is excellent.

Great little place for seafood on the Westside. Grilled shrimp and scallops are amazing.

The food was okay not as good as I remember it being haven't been in a while the service however was a 10.our server had a huge table and handled it with grace.
