Wheeler's is a wonderful place! My fiance have a monthly Monday ritual breakfast there and we absolutely love it. The service is beyond friendly, the coffee is fantastic (ask about their coffee cubes for iced coffee), the bagels are amazing and it's one of the few places in the south to offer authentic New York Black and White cookies. They also accommodate all sorts of diets. I am on a low carb diet and I hate to be picky when ordering but the owner showed me ways to make my sandwich healthier completely unprompted- egg whites, scooped out bagel, extra veggies etc- and the taste was just as good as a regular bagel sandwich. When my mom came up to visit from out of state we made it a point to take her to Wheeler's. I don't know why anyone would rate this place less than 5 stars because I've only ever received 5 star product and 5 star service.
This place is AMAZING!!! The bagels are perfect, and the fillings are delicious. It's not just the food though. The service there is beyond words. Everyone is nice and friendly and always make sure that your visit is the best that it can be. I really cannot recommend this place enough. Go there, eat, drink, and be merry.
We have been looking for a great local bagel shop....and so happy to have found Wheeler's Bagels in Johnson City. From the moment you walk in you are greeted with not only the fragrance of bagels, but the warm welcome and help of the employees. Ian was a big help in understanding their menu and coffee options. Just a simple cup of house coffee and a toasted everything bagel with cream cheese hit the spot this morning. The flavor of the bagel and all the toppings was excellent. We'll be back for sure, and highly recommend this bagel bakery/restaurant.
Extremely friendly staff when you walk in. Coffee was well toasted and had multiple dairy free options. Cookies were the only baked treat we tried this trip, and they were amazing. Large in size and great flavor. We will be back.
We come here at least one a week to pick up a dozen bagels. These are the best bagels we have found in the TriCities area. Having lived in the NY/NJ area with access to many very good bagel places we have found Wheeler’s right up there. While I don’t think the bagels are officially kosher they are good. The folks at Wheeler’s are friendly, helpful and support the community especially the Police. If you are looking for bagels in the TriCities area give these folks a try and I bet you won’t be disappointed
Great tasting bagels. Friendly staff, owner is very nice and accommodating especially when there was a mishap with our order. I will continue to eat here as I have loved my experience here.
Great owner. Good service. Good food. Good ambiance. I just had my first bagel here and within 2 minutes I met Wheeler and know that Im amongst good people. This is my go-to for coffee/espresso/bagels from here on out.

I was instantly greated by the manager who went out of his way to make me feel welcome. The coffee is so good and the bagels even better. I would recommend the Cinnamon Crunch bagel with Honey Walnut cream cheese. My husband took one bite and said, "oh my this is good!"
