The food is carefully prepared and skillfully served. It's Asian "fusion" at its best.
A nice variety of sushi, prepared by Ming himself, makes it easy to cater to many tastes. It's the place where friends meet for a leisurely Saturday lunch or a weekday dinner.
The service is courteous and personable. You are not left wondering if your glass of tea will be refilled or if your empty plate will be taken away.
I have not ordered from the bar, but others who have accompanied me say the drinks are prepared well and to order.
Overall, it's my favorite place to dine.
Great sushi. Finally a place in Johnson City that doesn't suck. Great food and the authentic Chinese food section is amazing as well. Nice to order real Chinese food and not just Americanized Chinese. My family and I love this place. I hope they keep up with their good food and cleanliness. There was another great sushi spot in JC but their cleanliness started slipping so we stopped going. Can't eat raw fish from a dirty restaurant and Ming's is clean and the service is great especially when Brandon is your server! He is amazing! I love Ming's Asian Cuisine.
First of all the food is delicious. I have never eaten anything that I didn't like.. and they do not use MSG in their food! second, the staff is amazing. Whatever the owners are doing, they're doing it right! And third, every experience I have had there has been top notch. I definitely recommend this place!
The food here is absolutely amazing! We tried the egg flower and hot and sour soup to start, then had the teriyaki chicken and garlic chicken for dinner. Everything was so delicious. Our server was wonderful and very attentive, she did a great job. We can't wait to come back!!
The BEST Asian food I've had in TN by far! The homemade sauces are so tasty. I can't wait to try something new with each visit. Our waiter was VERY attentive. Overall great place.
I’ve only eaten here once, but it was a great experience. I got green tea, sushi, and steamed pork dumplings. They have a massive menu consisting of Japanese and Chinese fare. Nice, quiet place with great atmosphere and attentive service. I also got the fried cheesecake “to go” to eat later. I would like to see healthier specialty sushi rolls - almost all the choices had tempura something or other (fried) fish or crab.
Absolutely fantastic food. Very nice atmosphere. Service was very prompt and polite. Hot and sour soup was very tasty. Curry chicken was fabulous and full of flavor. Sushi was amazing and fresh. Great happy hour prices. Will definitely return. This is our new go-to for Asian cuisine.
The food was delicious and very fresh. I got the chicken curry and my husband had the Singapore rice noodles. We were with a large group and everyone shared, so we got to try a lot of different things. The garlic short ribs were delicious! If you go try something you normally wouldn't, you may find a new favorite.
Our server was wonderful too. He was very sweet and funny, and took the time to teach us about some of the food.

Ming's Cuisine is Chinese-owned by a student that once went to ETSU. If you're looking for an AUTHENTIC dish experience, this is the place for you. They're also very flexible and CATER their menu to an American Palate as well (which authentic restaurants in big cities won't do this. They're very generous here). If you're American, and you order something culturally different and then rate this location poorly, you should feel ashamed. Obviously, different cultures have different preferences and taste palates. Chinese traditional food is not meant to cater to your narrow minded American perceptions. Leave the business alone, allow this KIND, LOCAL business to thrive, and simply GO ELSEWHERE. Don't make the employees and owner suffer for your mistake of chosing a location that simply isn't a match for you. Don't write an invalid, inconsiderate and closed minded review.

Easy to find and parking is convenient.
II. SERVICE
No complaints. It was excellent for me. My waitress was very attentive. Don't forget this is a COLLEGE TOWN so if the server isn't the most supreme, well... They're likely a college student trying to make ends meet and jungle their study life. Or they're newly trained--there's a global pandemic people. Be human. Be kind. Local businesses need this more than anything right now.

This place rocks! Wonderful atmosphere, great to-go packaging, quick service. Not even to mention... the WONDERFUL freshly prepared food. You can tell the food served at Ming's is cook with love and care.
