Nice little joint, and conveniently located for me on my trip.
My waitress was a real sweetheart, and the entire staff super friendly. Had the make your own platter with the broiled salmon and broiled butterfly shrimp, sweet potato with hush puppy "rings." The seasoning on the shrimp was FABOOSH. Salmon was good too, maybe a little more dry than I like it, but the flavor was great.
But seriously. Those hush puppy rings. <3 I'm pretty picky about my hush puppies and those were AWESOME.

We were staying at a nearby hotel for the night and found this restaurant by luck. Great choices for dinner from a salad bar to full course dinners. My husband chose the salad bar and I went with the Monday special - two pieces of lightly battered white fish and popcorn shrimp, hush puppies, cole slaw and a baked potato. Our server was spot-on with her knowledge, personality and service. My dinner came out promptly, and the salad bar was clean and fresh with a good variety of choices. My food was hot, and the light battered food was delicious and there was much more than I could eat. Our server was so sweet that I even remembered her name! If we come by this way again, we will surely stop in.
Just moved To Elizabethton from Florida, miss my seafood.... until I found Harbor House! It was Great, better than some other seafood I've had. Freash shrimp, real potatoes for fries, home made coleslaw it was absolutely wonderful. Will be back and recommend highly.

The Shrimp Po'Boy is EXCELLENT. Clams (that I stole from Steve) were wonderful too. Harbor House provides a warm friendly atmosphere with very good food choices at decent prices. So far we have not had any complaints about anything we have had.
We've been eating here for 20 years! Great seafood for a nice price. We had a great server the night we went. Will definitely be back. We miss the salad bar but that has to be removed during covid.

Service was great. Super friendly staff, clean establishment. Food was also good, large portions, great taste. I had a chopped steak, my wife had the catfish and popcorn shrimp (i helped). She said the catfish was under seasoned and lacked flavor, but we thought everything else was delicious. One of Johnson City's hidden little gems.
I can honestly say that I have not been back to the restaurant since my Mother passed away. We loved going there. We always darby the fireplace there because there was an outlet for her oxygen machine. She would always sit down with a big grin knowing that I would buy her anything she wanted.
She loved the atmosphere there as well as the wonderful customer service. The food was always fresh, and Mom could tell you as she was the most seafood loving lady I ever met. Mom would give you history on cooking and how the food should always be. Mom taught me how to cook and to this day love it.
There is nothing bad to say about this restaurant. I am hoping that this year with my daughter, we stop by on my Mother's Birthday, and enjoy a meal, and honor her. God bless you all for your service. Your food is really good and your customer service is exceptional.
